Hi there,
i Love my Blackberry, although I no longer have the disc that came with it to download bluetooth. It gives me options to search my computer for another way to install and it doesn't work...
Also i want to send games and such to my handheldbut using bluetooth, and it tells me to install the OBEX File Push Profile. HOW DO I DO THAT??

On the geek and proud site, it tells you how you can change the color of the track ball but I still do not understand it. Does anyone know how to change it? Thanks in advance. Ed.

For those users, who still didnt figure it
out, how to set phone, that messages in SMS
INBOX will be shown with name of sender and
not with nubmer:
- Press green/send button ( clast called numbers appear )
- Options...
- go to smart dialing, then set your country
code ( for ex. mine is +386 ) and then in
national number lenght set value 8.
After that, it should display names in SMS
inbox.

I love the pearl, and all of its functions. However, i do have some minor problems with it like all of my call logs and text messages randomly erase. When someone calls me i can hear them, but they can't hear me. My phone jumps from being on the network to jumping off automatically.

Message for MEGAN - I was having the same trouble with my messages (and call register) being wiped and not storing any new data.
The problem was that the device memory was sitting at 0 available bytes. (Check this by going into SETTINGS then STATUS).
I now save all my photos to the memory card rather than the device and reboot from time to time - this seems to free up anywhere from 10mb to 20mb. Check the STATUS section every few days and if you notice the device memory getting low, just reboot and/or delete some of the photos if there are any saved to the device and not the memory card.
I'm so glad someone else has shared my frustration!!! This really pissed me off because I hated having my text messages deleted on me...

hi,
i have just received the blackberry pearl and have placed a microSD media card in its holder under the battery, but the phone does not recognize that the card is there. Would anyone please be able to help me with this?

The main difference between the 8100 and the 8120 are WLAN (Wi-Fi). It is possible to make upgrade in the 8100 to add the Wi-Fi? The 8120 are not sold here. Help me!

can someone please help me:
My SMS text messaging was working perfectly until last night, and now suddenly none of my inbox/outbox messages show up, and i cant receive any text messages. I tried sending text messages, and they worked, but i cant receive any! im so frustrated!

Hi jessica
To change the message tone on your blackberry, first of all go to the speaker icon then click on it. When it opens it would show the profile you are using (with active written beside it). scroll down then you'd see "advanced". click on it then when it opens,scroll down to SMS. When u get there,click on it. it would show u the different options for the sms service. Go to tune,click on it then select the type of tune you want. press the backward button. It'd ask you to save, do that.

Hi,
Wondered if anyone has problems with the 8100 receiving or sending extra long text messages (ie longer than one text)? I have only had the phone a week so not sure but a few people seem to have either not received my long messages, and I have not received some of those sent to me...

I bought a blackberry pearl recently and whenever i make a call or receive a call the person can hear me but i can hear them. does anyone know whats wrong here.

thanks jg, but when i set up my blackberry I had transported all my contacts from the sim to the phone. Even numbers that I added to the phone(cos the sim is full) still doesn't display the name when a text is sent. It shows the number with its international dialing codes but not the name n this is really confusing cos i have to copy it out,remove the international id codes before inputing it back, then it identifies the sender. I'd b grateful for any help anyone can give me...thanks

when i get a SMS text message the pearl doesn't even show the number or the name. & so now i'm confused on who could be sending me those messages because it can be anybody from my phonebook. how can i fix this?! cause it's driving me crazy! please help!

my phone automatically shuts off sometimes..how do I fix it? the call end and back buttons are also WAY too sensitive, and the bluetooth doesn't hook up to any other phones. HELP!
