After 10.2 update my q10 become a mini computer.apart from SONY xperia Z1 & Apple iPhone 5s Q10 close the mouth of any other phone in the world.but it lacks free apps if you are android fan you will be disappointed.only if you have online payment facilities.

I again, 17 Jan 2014BB10 does indeed still support BIS and also BES but also su... moreYou are right my bbq10 support bis & normal data plan like android.i love normal plan than bis because I always receive free data from network which I can not use in bold 5.normal data plan is good.i paid 3000 for 3GB on normal plan.&.1500 for 500MB on BIS monthly.

Lack of BIS support is your carrier's choice not Blackberry's. Indeed your carrier may support BIS but the carrier representative whom you arranged your plan with may simply be misinformed. I know I ran into all sorts of misinformation with my carrier because they insisted that I use a BIS plan and they refused to believe me that I could run my phone on the same plan as an Android or IOS device. That is, until I made them try it and they saw how it worked nicely. Yes, BIS still works with BB10 and is still more efficient but with so many non-BIS devices out there the carriers are dropping BIS support. Blackberry doesn't have the influence they used to have particularly in some markets such as the US.

This spec sheet suggests that there is no radio on the Q10. This is not entirely true. Since leak 10.2.1.xxx I have been listening to the FM radio over the air (not through data plan) quite happily. The Q10 (and the Z30 but not the Z10) has an FM radio chip on board but it was not accessible until 10.2.1 came out.

If you have a recent OS (10.2) you can look under Settings - App Manager - Device Monitor and view the CPU useage. You might find some indication as to an application that is using resources excessively. In the newest release (10.2.1.xxx) due out early 2014 you will be able to see graphs of memory and CPU useage and they make it much easier to see which application is using all your power. In the meantime you can download apps like Battery Guru that do the same sort of thing. But, since your phone is heating up it is probably a graphic intensive application like a game that is your problem rather than radio issue like the old Gmail push issue.

I have my phone for a week now and find it ok so far although the touch screen does get a bit frustrating - my key pad doesn't light up and makes it difficult to type in the dark - is that normal or is there a touchscreen keypad somewhere?
