It's a piece of junk. Storm 2 is going to have to be just so much better, and discounted to those who have suffered this model.

This is a terrible phone. No Wi Fi, which is crazy for a blackberry, and all the great features that it does have tend not to work. Avoid

I am using this device (BB Storm 9500) for the last one month. I am very much pleased with the performance of Internet Browser. I am also impressed with the performance of email and chatting functionalities and stay online without any difficulties (ISP – Etisalat in UAE). Mobile Internet was my primary requirement though. And combined with Document editor, it perfectly meets my requisites. Playing video files are of amazing quality. I have not faced any difficulties in call facilities as of now. Rest of the functions I have not tested yet. Initially typing was bit cumbersome but now I got used to. And its solid masculine look (much better than iPhone and Nokia N97) impresses everyone around me.

Very bad performance. When you turn on blackberry takes 5 minutes until you receive the signal and be able to make a call. When the battery is low, you will lose signal, it will say "OFF" in the place where the bars are the phone is still on but I could not make a call. Very very disappointing. WORST of the WORST phones on the market. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Don't buy any Blackberry phones if you don't want any problems.

No wonder you can't get reception, the metal tracks are everywhere. Go to the north of the city at the beach try there, up by the university area.

terrible device. I have been using a BB device almost for 3 yrs. Have tried - 8700, 8310 curve, Bold... pretty good devices - especialy the BOLD one. I am planning to return to it as the STORM is nothing but disapointment. Slow reactons, hard to type virtual QWERTY keyboard, needs restarting at least 2 times a day...atc. As a BB fan I hope RIM will take the feedback form the users into acconut.

Piece of crap. Worse than I expected. Signal reception is very poor everywhere, I live in Chicago in the city and I get only 2 bars. Photos take forever to load and it's very hard to flip, takes time and patience. It freezes constantly. Can not compare to iPhone at all, not even close to it. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. You will regret it.
