Storm VS Iphone 3G
from comparing these 2 phone on this website i have found:
*iphone is slimmer and lighter
*iphone has 16million colour screen bold has 65k
*iphone has bigger screen
*iphone as Wifi - main feature surley for internet based handset
*iphone has much better battery life
*iphone has 8gb/16gb internal memory - you would need to spend an extra £24.99 to get 8gb memory card for storm
*iphone automatically downloads any attachments included in mail an you view the mail exactly how you would on computer - storm has very basic email on it.
iphone wins!

I really wanted to love this phone. Really I do. But I am not going to spend the next 18 months with it unless they fix these:

          1. Signal Issues - Keeps on going to SOS everywhere I go! That's just not dependable!

          2. Very Slow User Interface - If RIM can make it even as fast as an iPhone (which is a bit slower than a BlackBerry Bold) then we're talking! Currently it's 3 to 4 times slower than an iPhone, around 5 to 6 times slower than a Bold. Come on RIM!

          3. Battery Life - People buy BlackBerry phones because of the battery. This thing sucks more juice than an android phone.

          ---

All of which can be fixed via software updates I assume. They say they've been testing it for 18 months now eh?

What, by one person, in one location for 18 months? LoL

I have just spent some time reading through some of the comments on the Storm. People are not giving it a chance. you cant fully appreciate a phones capabilities after a few days. There is going to be a software release in a couple of weeks so any small glitches that you are having can be ironed out by downloading this to the phone.
You should try this handset first before you have an opinon on it. The I phone is not all its cracked up to be, apple dont make handsets they make music players so they werent going to get it right first time!!! Blackberry are well respected and know their stuff with smartphones. Also this handset was tested for 18 months before its release and the release date was put back by a week to make sure everything was right with it. No handset is going to be 100% perfect 100% of the time, thats just the way of the world. You just need a little patience with it and you will learn to love the Storm!!!!!

I work for Vodafone and have been given this handset to trial, I have never used a Blackberry before but have first hand info about each and everone of them ont hemarket and i have to say this is the best one out there. The touchscreen is brilliant and the features are great!!!! The battery life can decrease but i have found that if you turn 3G off it does last a bit longer. As for an 8 megapixel version being released in December I havent heard this anywhere but never say never!!!

Battery life shocking, dead spot on the screen, barely any kind of software support. Screen has froze a few times. Bluetooth just does not work, i can send out but have been unable to receive anything to the storm and i've tried 3 peoples phones. NOT GOOD.

Im planning on ordering an unlocked vodafone storm 9500 and using it in the states on Tmobile network. Would there be an issues with that? and also with the tmobile 3g network expanding here would the phone work just as well with the network even tho not purchased in this country?

Krendi, 22 Nov 2008I'm not sure how you are going to multi-task if it lags so ... moreApologies if I wasn't so clear, I meant the BlackBerry bold in terms of multi-tasking.

One of the reasons why I returned this was because of that, not being able to use multi-tasking properly like what a BlackBerry should.
