This phone isn't a complete loss without the Wi-Fi, yeah that is kind of a big thing to leave off a phone like this, but this phone has pretty good performance through its provider (Verizon). I've got the Curve 8900, and honestly I think its better. This is Blackberry's first touch screen like ever. Personally the storm dose have immense potential but I would hold out til they get it down pat. This thing isn't designed to be some almight iPhone killer, it's primary funtion is business with multimedia as an after thought. Thats very true with thing phone, a very poor quality camera (the Curve 8900's isn't good either), and average audio player is just enough to kinda keep people at bay. Personally if Wi-Fi is that big a deal get the Curve 8900, its an excellent phone, but don't expect amazing photos or video from it.

its a good phone but sometimes the actual performance is a little laggy if you know what i mean , and yes it does suck about the wi-fi

Rogers IS gonna have a model that will support WIFI, in 2009 ... dont know why they dont now.. maybe just throwing it out there to see how many people are willing to get the storm ... and then when the wifi come out people are gonna switch to the new 1 cause they like the phone and all that is missing was the wifi.

What better day for Canadian carriers Rogers and Fido to leak their 2009 plans. Canadians are going to get quite a few smartphones in 2009 from the two companies. I’m sure anyone of us would be interested in a least one of the handsets below:
Blackberry 82XX Pearl Flip (3G version of 8220 Pearl Flip but with GPS, WiFi, and video calling)
Blackberry 9520 Storm (North American 3G GSM bands and 802.11 b/g WiFi)
