i just ran into the same charging issues but i replaced the battery and now it wint quick charge anymore, it tells me 5 seconds after i plig it in that the battery is full. this notification comes every second and my measurement showed 0,2amps and between 8-9 volts.

dont know how i could fix this since i cant even disable quick charge in the settings. i have to use non quick charge chargers at the moment to charge my phone. this problem only shows up when the battery is below 55%.
dies anyone have a solution?

i also integrate a wireless qi reciever to the phone so it can charge wirelessly👍

What I do is, ive changed my settings to "Smart Charge". Set charging time for 2 hours. It will fully charge your battery in less than an hour (and it lasts the whole day).

      I've had my S61 since June 2018 and no big problems so far.
      (Just changed the charging cable for a better one because sometimes it wouldn't charge rapidly with the default cable. Charger itself is the same)

        Battery issues: charges hours but never full , than drains unnaturaly fast.
        After few months sent back, they replaced batt, charging port and charger and camera, to no avail the issues resurfaced with a week after return and normal use. They sent me a new phone, after three weeks... same issue...

        best phone specs for my job, but bad quality

          Nothing is "slow". The phone is strong and made to last a long time.
          My experience with playing games with this phone is limited to table games like chess and solitaire - just to pass some time when absolutely nothing else to do. I'm not playng children's games (all this colorful 3D bling-bling) because I bought this phone mainly as a tool and it is a perfect multifunctional tool with long lasting battery.
          The only thing I'm not satisfied with, is the support service - ask them anything and you get a generic answer that won't give you any real information.

            Its handy the type of job Im into. rain or into dirty place but need to upgrade for the things needed when not in work like faster cpu ad gpu and better resolution engineers will play sometimes during break..

              The big mistake if you buy this crap. Software is slow, crashing simultaneously, is not compatible with a lot of apps, especially with games. Let cat manufacturing tractors and keep high tech for companies that knows what they are doing. Don't buy it, it is not worth such money

                I used this suggestion & my battery already seems to be better.

                It makes sense, as I have just started using my unbuilt FLIR camera to test staff for Corona-virus & my battery started dying after just 4 hours.

                      Received yet another android 9 update-still the Proximity sensor does not work. I was hoping this most recent update would bring it back!!!!! Other than this 1 issue everything is working great hardware/software wise.

Probably software issue. Otherwise best mobile for my work. And yes underwater photos. And yes, thermal imaging. And yes, a laser pointer.

We sh... moreGot my phone sent back from CATS repair vendor in Texas the day after they received it. I had to ask what they did to correct the issue and "CAT support" informed me they replaced #3 RF Antenna, the battery and gave it a software update. Fast forward to now the problem still exists, however, I have a new battery/Antenna when nothing was initially wrong with the battery, LTE reception/WIFI/GPS and the software was already on the latest version. I reached out to CAT support asking WTF? They said to send it back in again for repair. This time I said No, I cannot keep doing this when I was pretty explicit the first time of what the problem was. Hopefully, a future software update will re-enable the stupid PROX sensor! Also, be advised that when your phone is FED EXed back to you -you must have it adult signature signed which was also very inconvenient.

                              I was avoiding any updates from this phone since the previous nightmares which eventually worked a little better but never completely solved for me. But then my phone went dead and when restarted it automatically updated and now my phone won't charge. Only way I can use it is if it's plugged in. One time it jumped and charge pretty quick but died within a few hours with not much use. And since then I have to have it plugged in to work. May as well be on a landline. How can I fix this?

We shall see what becomes of this. I hard reset my phone again before I FedExed it and did make note the Prox. sensor still was not working. Hopefully they can fix this issue.

                                  Does anyone else find that the camera makes it very difficult to take good photos? Basically what I'm trying to say is this camera blows, anyone else find this?

                                    Oh and I too experienced the Toolbox "storage" clear issue as well. Hasn't happened again as of yet though.

                                      I updated recently to Android 9 attempt #2 from CAT. I went for the plunge hoping they had fixed the previous roll out of Android 9. I was happy to report everything seemed to work out as it should with battery life-cell reception/LTE and performance. HOWEVER I noticed that now my Proximity sensor no longer works! Not at all... I informed CAT support and they said they would look into this issue and issue another update soon. I have since Hard reset which was a tedious process to restore all my stuff. The sensor STILL didn't work. I placed device in Safe mode to see if an app was causing the issue and the sensor NO work. It is the only problem I noticed from updating to android 9. Its annoying especially on calls or when the phone is in my pocket! I informed CAT again and they asked for my phones build number and what carrier I was using/country etc. I hope they fix this because I really want to use this as my daily driver during the work week!!!! Which is why I bought the phone in the first place..
