Its the best tablet in the given price, without an iota of doubt.
It works well in all departments and my mother for whom I bought it, loves it.
Problems I experienced (very small though)
1.wifi is not working on consistent basis and it sorts of lose contact and I am not sure what is the cause of problem or if compatibility with router is an issue.
2.I tried two sims cut to micro size of idea and airtel which did not work, strangely BSNL and Vodafone ones worked.
There must be some band issue.
3.The fingerprint magnet thing can be a problem but its not something you will notice after 2 days of use.
In fact the screen is absolutely beautiful.
I wanted an 8 inch size tablet and I think it was an excellent decision since 7 inch tablet is actually very close to being called a phablet but not tablet.
You can buy without any doubt.
Remember that I bought a 3830 version which has wifi+3g+32GB+2GB Ram which are critical buying factors.

Software experience is very bad, application constantly stop working. Dell Venue suck. I.e 3830. Even a cheap iview tablet work better than it. I will never ever by any Dell tablet or computer in the future.

Dell Venue 8- 32GB (Android 4.4.2 Kit Katt) Wifi/3G
I have picked this up on a great speacial at a local PC Store, presumably to get rid of stock and get the new updated Dell model. Having owned the 2012 Google Nexus and being that's the DEll's fiecest rival I can hands down say this Tablet has a few upgrades that the Nexus cant match- The 8" screen makes a huge difference to the 7" on the Nexus. However display quality is a lot sharper on the Nexus due to its better pixel density. In saying that Videos play smoothly, pictures look fairly decent both front and back cameras on the Dell and it has an expandable memory slot upto 32GB which is a huge plus over the Nexus. There are possibilties of rooting the tablet to save game files on the SD card, which what makes it a must for Tech junkies.
Performance on gaming is remarkable. Most tablets utilize Quad Core Processors but the ARM type designed for tablets, but the DEll has gone further in producing an Atom Processor in a tablet which is designed for use on Netbooks and I must say this processor for a buget range is top notch. I have literallty downloaded all the graphic intense games, like Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3, Anormaly 2, Modern Combat 4, Dead Trigger 2, Fifa 15, Bards Tale, GTA and they all played with all grpahics options on high. The Atom Dual Core 2 Ghz processoris definitely faster over the ageing Tegra 3 quad core chipset in the Nexus and note that the Dell has a major contributing factor of 2GB DDR2 RAM which hmakes multi-tasking a breeze, browsing the net, playing music, playing videos reading a book all hassle free. This is the only "budget" tablet on the market that has 2GB of RAM at the time of writing this. I know a few years now (maybe months) 2GB of RAM will probably become a norm with more cheaper tablets due to more demanding apps, but make no mistake having 2GB of RAM on a a tablet is an expensive investment knowing that high end Samasung/Apple tabs are already hovering in the 3GB and 4GB of RAM territory. So hats off to Dell for making the Dell more productive introducing 2GB of Ram in a budget tablet and not opting for 1GB.
In conculsion I would like to say that the battery isnt the best ---i got an average of about 6-7 hours for the dell and that was mostly drained because of intensive online (3G HSPA sim card)gaming but in saying this if you can opt for the lower 2G latency internet connection instead of 3G HSPA signal and a lower display brightness you can expand battery life significantly for about 7-8 hours so it honestly depends what you use your tablet for and how often you turn your 2G on or use 3G oand most importantly when your tablet is on standby turn off your data connection. You will see amazing battery conservation if you practice this often.
All in all great all round package, speedy processing power from the 2GHZ Dual Core Atom Processor, 2GB of RAM is a huge plus, decent if not spectacular snapshots from the cameras and if you are gamer then this tablet screams "Buy Me" ---

Worst tablet ever with 2 huge problems:
1- i bought 2 tablets Dell venue online from Dell.com and after 2 a year the first one arise the first problem that i'm trying to connect the charger then i have a very strange message "plugged in not charging" and it never able to charge and after 2 months the second tablet did the same.
2- one of these tablets has another problems that it hanging and freezing the screen with no response with videos and games .
i searched google.com for these problems and i found that the most owner of this model talked about these 2 problems ,i tried to talk to tech support of dell with no solution ,the first problem i found on google that it was an over charge and i must plug off and plug in again the battery and i tried and this succeeded but i must do this every month cause of overcharge problem but the second problem still without any solution. "BAD Dell .. BAD Dell"
I do not recommend this product for any one if any one care about his money

screen is turning black suddenly. also getting message at the start "unfortunately real player has stopped working". is there anyone who can solve this issue?
