I have used all new phones but this is the best one I have used so far. pro: nice build, colour screen, small and light, nice games(6 games) and agenda. good battery life, gprs and bluetooth for the future, nice background pictures. negative: weak antenna strength, some minor bugs, sound quality can be improved.
Best phones: 1 ericsson t68
2 ericsson t65
3 siemens sl45,me45,s45
4 nokia 8310

This phone is pretty tight but receptions really sucks as Nokia 8290!!! Not worth of money to spent on this unit... Although, the battery last pretty long!

I just received my T68 today and I'm really impressed by the quality of this phone ! It is simply awesome. I previously had Nokia 8310 en the reception and sound quality of the T68 is a lot better, not to mention the design and the colour screen which are both excellent. Conclusion: if you have the money, you should buy it. Great phone, good job Ericsson !

I still don't know whether it's worth buying this phone now, waiting for future improved versions or buying another phone (eg the Siemens S45) now.
Any advice? I'm in two minds as to whether I should go for this one or the S45. To be honest I always preferred this one, but the price difference is substantial.

the upgrade for MMS will be free and will be here early next year (or something like that...). According to what I've seen it will add picture phonebook as well, is that true?

Had this phone for about 3 weeks now. Not bad, but the menus are not very intuitive, the response is slow (press key and wait... wait...) The battery life is reasonable, but not brilliant (GPRS off). The build quality is good, but how the tacky plastic joystick and the top two buttons got past quality contol is beyond me. The IR port does not work very well. Getting files to xfer is a real hit and miss afair, especially with gif backgrounds. The GPRS does not work yet, a problem with Vodafone I assume. Finally, the e-mail reader does not function and give the user no indication why, despite all the setting being veryified. Also, Windows XP is not currently supported by the Syncing software, so beware if you use that OS. In conclusion, it is an impressive piece of technology in such a small size, but it suffers from all the problems of a first generation product; bugs, poor man-machine interface, network problems etc. The responce lag though is unforgivable in my opinion. Should you get this phone? If you want to stay ahead and plan on upgrading often, then yes - you will like it. If it is a one off expensive purchase that you want to last a while, then wait. When Nokia builds a phone of similar specification, you know that Ericsson will have something to worry about. I frankly can not wait to see all this technology utilised by Nokia; a company that understands how the consumer likes things to work.Maybe the fact that they are being slow in producing a rival product shows that they think the technology integration needs maturing before it is unleashed - a fact exemplified by the T68.
