Google heavily relies on software and often skip improving their hardware in terms of design, quality control, CPUs or even customer support. They they still lack support in most of the regions.
I only wished they took critique more seriously and worked on their gaps, but unfortunately they went backward (again) with mediocre chipsets and relatively expensive devices.

The quality control is bad with very inconsistent units (same is happening now with pixel 5) 2. The price for what you get is ridiculous.
I would throw another subjective factor, usually fanbois stress the point of "clean" Android experience. But looking closer it is not so clean and it is way behind other manufacturers mods. Many features missing. But this is subjective matter.

It's an... morePeople and lame reviewers kept on bashing this phone until Google released a lower SoC Pixel with less features (Soli radar, and face unlock have gone).
Now people are happy with the less feature but still highly priced phone.
On the other hand, Apple never listened to lame users and reviewers who kept on crying for more features. Apple is now the role model for all other OEMs with their lead.
Google should have been more patient until they see results.

Production has stopped on these, got a brand new one locally for about $440 usd, I would suggest that you pick one up if you're presented the opportunity . I don't care about havging the latest hardware and GrapheneOS/CalyxOS will give you superb battery life and security.

hello! i was tested oneplus 6 red edition with 8gb rram and google pixel 4 xl for small games from playstore ...i test the phones 40-50 days ...games..google searching...photos ..selfie one...oneplus was responding faster then 4 xl ...battery was with 1 h and half more at oneplus 6..i was making compare home with 6 ..if i make with 7t..or 7t pro what to say
?! i record in the night at one show at 1080 p and oneplus was atraction of the night ...I never buy Google ...now for sure ONEPLUS is better at design ..procesor...battery and stability of battery !

Is this phone going to be lower in price soon? I can buy it right now in my country for around 670 euros or 785 dollars because thats the only one i found that can ship to my country, but isn't it a bit too expensive at that price as of right now?

It's an absolute beast of a phone.
Soli is cooler than people think too and it's a shame they didn't progress with it .

Comparing it to my friends original pixel 4xl no difference. All ftu units face unlock, radar does not work but other than than everything is the same. Note google logo on the back is an omega logo.

This phone is the worse investment I have ever made. I have had a life of misery in using it and really dislike it. Do Google personnel try to assist you. Yes but often they cannot give information on taking care of problems. Many features do not work properly and advise that you not consider ANY Google phone purchase.
