Anonymous, 18 Nov 2021I'm seeing a lot of mixed comments on here, if there... moreThe only reason you should get 3 is if you want dual stereo speakers. If you want good battery life, don't get the Pixel 3, as it is getting on a bit. Get the 3a xl (as it has very good battery life). 3a and 4a also have good battery life. And you should get 4a or 4a 5G if you want the full screen experience. And between the 4a and 4a 5G, 4a if you want something very compact.

To be honest, the phone is good as is, Google shouldbhave pulled an apple and update the chip, reduce the price by 50$ and sell it. Of course dual camera would be nice as well but whatever. 5a 5G is good as a mid ranger but it‘s just another big phone, nothing special other than being from Google.
The 5a 5G is actually a 5a XL, then just grab this with an updated chip (maybe ultrawide camera but it’s not necessary) and sell it as the standard 5a.

Owned this for almost a year and I'm switching back to an iphone.
Never owned a phone so glitchy, it's just too much a pain.
Android 12 visuals make me feel like a toddler.
Keep taking features that I like away.
One day something works fine then couple days later it doesn't.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2021I'm seeing a lot of mixed comments on here, if there... moreEither 4a or regular 3. 4a will be more expensive in the used market but you will have a bigger screen on the same form factor. Performance should be almost the same. If you have the budget for 4a, go for it. If you can get the regular 3 in a very good condition, it'll work as well. Although it'll be hard depending on where you're located since the phone is already 3 years old.

Ashok, 23 Dec 2021Android 12 some options are not user friendly. Short cuts l... moreIts updates for the future.
We feel difficult right to turn off wifi and data.
So by this way they reduce wifi and data turn off rates.
They need us to stay connected all the time to track us.
I guess in future upgrades they may remove that options(Wifi, data and location)
Because, they know this is not userfriendly but still why they include this type of options??

Android 12 some options are not user friendly. Short cuts like sim selection / data selection from networks is complicated i don't know why they have changed. When phone call is coming notification menu is opening and this not hiding automatically when call is coming. Hopeless 12

Love the Pixel 4a. I am not a gamer but surf the web a lot. Very surprised by the long battery life given its size. Processor loads web pages quickly. Camera is very good as advertised. Also have the option to plug in headphones. The fingerprint ID has worked every time and the smaller size is what I want in a phone. Had a Pixel 2 and lots of issues. Took a chance on the 4a and glad I did. Bought an open box model on Ebay.

Okay... Android 12 after 1 day usage: I'm not impressed. UI updates looks childish. No improvements on a day-to-day usage. Volume Toggle bar... What were you thinking? It is harder to be precise. Notification slider from top draw - not practical. Only looks better. I lost the superior overview. Why make the calendarw notifications in dim blue instead of more colorful and Sharp dark blue? Is it only design or what...? The designer of these new UI can't posibly be using it by themselves...?
I'll give this: it looks more modern. That's it.

unknown, 22 Oct 2021hey , does anybody having issues with software after updati... moreOn the main screen, when I use the microphone Google assist on the search bar to ask a query, it will often crash immediately after Google returns a search. But this only happens from the search bar. From the Google Keyboard and browser microphone, it doesn't crash. I have experienced the same bug on my new Google Pixel 6 Pro so I am positive it is an Android 12 problem and not with the 4a hardware since the 6 Pro uses a totally different CPU. Hopefully, Google sends out bug fixes in December 2021.

Julian M, 03 Nov 2021Anyone having issues with the fingerprint reader since upda... moreHi Julian M,
I have not had the same experience with my 4A. Perhaps the sensor on yours needs cleaning? I use glass cleaner and a microfiber rag to keep it clean. Also, wet fingers won't register correctly. I just upgraded to the 6 Pro and I wished the fingerprint reader on the 6 was as reliable as the 4a.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2021I'm seeing a lot of mixed comments on here, if there... moreI have 4a since August, flashed with grapheneOS since new for privacy without google apps. Battery lasts 2-3 days, has a nice display for a cheap phone and is fast enough for my use. I don't game on it, but it constantly has nordvpn on and a hotspot quite often. Switched from an iphone 6s which lasted me since 2016. Overall I am quite happy with it but an iphone is simpler and more convenient to use. I like the form factor too, as its external size is almost the same as the 6s but the screen is bigger. Also, it is built well enought that after dropping it a few times and keeping it in my pocket without any case or screen protector it has only one mark on the back. Screen is intact, and has no burn ins that OLED displays can suffer from. I have no experience with google's android system it comes with whatsoever so I cannot comment on that.
