NP, 23 Aug 2022It should not matter bro... ppl buy pixel phones to enjoy t... moreThe tensor chip
Is probably a good reason too avoid Google pixel 6 phones
It's not the best processors for the price of the smartphone
If the Google pixel 6 was a lot cheaper it be ok but it's rather expensive
It's just like the Google pixel 5 line but in my sneakly way too downgrade the processor

My experience with the Google Pixel 6 was horrendous! I must have gotten a lemon. The phone kept putting itself on DO NOT DISTURB, lowering the volume on it own and doing a lot of crazy stuff. It was like the Chucky of cell phones. Trying to get assistance from either AT&T (the company from whom I purchased the phone from and who never told me would be the only entity I would be able to get any assistance from)> I was bounced back and forth between the two companies and trying to get a live person at Google was like trying to get a personal appointment with the President. It was awful. I finally ended up having to pay off the phone ($800.00 that I couldn't really afford) and trade it in for the Ultra 22, which in my opinion is a much better phone. The best thing about the Google Pixel 6 is the camera. It has some special features but still not worth the nightmare. I will never purchase another one, nor recommend it to anyone else.

Hello. I want to ask if there is a way to actually hide apps on a Pixel phone without the need to 3rd-party launcher?

Hi JG, pixel 6 user here, had wrote a review here long ago.
To summarize it up, the problem people are reporting isn't happening on every device. Mine works well, but the only down is the battery life. I'm using it for media consumption/ texting and battery drains at ~5% per hour. Other than that is what you would expect: a clean, premium phone experience.
Though, I would recommend you to go for the iphone, unless you're bought into the design language, like I do. Any android phone with a decent camera hardware with google camera app can take stunning photos too, and unless you're trying to nitpick it, you won't realize it's taken by pixel or not. Just based on my personal experience.

I’d like a balanced opinion on getting the Pixel 6. I used to have Samsung until a phone a few years ago would not connect to anything (network, 4G, wifi) so I couldn’t use it. I think it was the A7 or something. Ended up being given an iPhone 5 as replacement and got on well with it. I currently have iPhone 6s. It’s been a great phone but it’s getting on a bit now. I don’t own any other apple devices so I haven’t “bought in” to their whole ecosystem of products and I’m not a big tech person anyway. I use my phone for texting, scrolling, browsing, and watching YouTube really.
I am trying to choose between the iPhone 13 mini which is a tad smaller than the 6s— not sure how I feel about that, especially as it’s that slightly chunkier design as well— and the pixel 6 which is quite heavily discounted now too. I’ve never had any real issues with either of my iPhones and would gladly get another, but the pixel 6 comes in at about £150 less than the 13 mini now it’s so reduced. On the other hand, I don’t want to get a phone just because it’s cheaper— I intend to keep it for about 4 years, so it needs to last.
I’m unsure how I’ll find going from iOS back to android. I don’t know if my previous issues were to do with faulty handsets or android issues. Reviews of the pixel 6 seem completely polarised as well so it’s really hard to make an informed decision.

Sin, 22 Aug 2022When u get the android 13 update and u update too android 1... moreAndroid 12 sucked so I wouldn't roll back even if it was possible.
Android 11 was better but now I am using a pixel 6 on Android 13 it doesn't feel quite as bad as 12, apart from occasional UI glitches when swiping up for the task manager

Sin, 22 Aug 2022When u get the android 13 update and u update too android 1... moreIt should not matter bro... ppl buy pixel phones to enjoy the new versions of the OS for 3 years and not to get struck in the same OS . There might be initial glitches just like how it can happen to other brands too. but it's Google, if other brands can claim to fix those, for sure Google too can fix it better. Pixel 6 suffered in the initial days coz of their experiment with the new tensor chip. It has a come a long way since then and it now for sure Rocks :)

I just got one of these, my old phone is slow and took a few seconds to open an app or trying to do anything. I could have waited for the Pixel 7 but it was almost a necessity to get something else. Display is great, the cameras are amazing, its fast and there's no extraneous junk. Just Android with no other bloat or crapware. The battery, even with a fast charger, takes an age to charge for whatever reason, and it does get quite toasty while charging, but I can live with that. I have had no issues with the fingerprint sensor and it works every time. It's a very good phone at a good price. I did look at other phones, but I am happy with my choice.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2022If you plan to take photographs of artwork or flat document... moreyeah the camera isn't suitable for document/ flat things, plus the stock camera app doesn't have any document mode. A workaround will be using third party camera and take photo of document from far away than other phones

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2022Thanks for the info. I am upgrading my Pixel 2 soon rather ... moreIf you plan to take photographs of artwork or flat documents, you might get better results with the 6A. The Pixel 6 has a larger sensor, and due to the lens's field curvature and shallower depth of field, many have reported blurry edges or corners when taking pictures of documents or close-up objects.
