Thetruthteller, 10 Mar 2022i bought this phone on contract unpacked it with 2 minutes ... moreThe phone is 200 grams... the same weight as the iPhone 13 Pro. If you complain about the tiny bezels on the bottom, you probably are going to return it to go back into Apple's walled garden, since Apple patented bending the display ribbon for minimal bezels, unfortunately on the Android side we'll have to make do thanks to this dumb patent.

Honestly, your criticism makes you sound like a fanboy of another phone brand that hasn't actually used the device. The speakers are fine, and the UI is different than Android 11, but it is very nice once you get used to it, and you will since eventually you'll be on Android 12 or later, even if you delay it or use a heavily skinned version. "Boxy display"? Samsung is getting rid of curved screen edges because people hate them and they're very expensive to replace. Screens are traditionally square because that's how pixels are, and it doesn't make sense to have huge rounded corners eating up space on the display, and even then the display does have rounded corners just not a crazy amount.

As someone who actually owns this device and has used it extensively, I like it a lot and don't have any issues with it, especially the concerns you allegedly have. I didn't realize it wasn't much smaller than the 6 Pro, knowing this I might have been swayed to that instead, but I don't regret choosing the smaller version, it's plenty big enough for me.

Got it. Put a Heavy Duty Case with Screen Protector around it and added fingerprints from two fingers and one thumb to the fingerprint reader. In more than 20 tries the fingerprint reader didn't work once. Could I have messed around with it; bought a different screen protector to see if maybe that was the problem? Sure but for $600 there's phones out there that will work right out of the box with no headaches so there's no way I'm going to waste my time screwing around with this one trying to get it to do what it promises. this is apparently a known issue with multiple people reporting it. https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/142982763/my-pixel-6-fingerprint-sensor-is-not-working?hl=en. Boxed it up, sent it back and got something else.

If you just handle the phone as a phone, it will last as long as it should regardless of price

The ui is bad the volume display is boxy as is the settings brightness. The screen seemed dark as well and the speaker was awful it sounded tiny as hell the worse speaker on a phone over £400.

This phone has been a huge disappointment for me. The one thing it delivers with is the camera, which takes amazing pictures. Even then, I'm disappointed by the low-quality panorama pictures compared to my previous phone which had only a basic camera but took great panoramas.

Everything else is a flop. There is a major bug causing my data service to drop every few minutes. I'm trying to work with Google customer service to fix it but they are giving me the runaround. The phone itself is clunky and awkward, really an unappealing size and shape. The UI is annoying. My previous phone was Android One so a very similar setup, except the last one had a much more precise and effective UI. It feels like everything I do on this phone requires extra work and looks ugly. The "live" lock screen doesn't work half the time, so it's always black. Certain elements in apps and mobile browsing don't work properly, especially pop-out menus. Basically everything about it is a buggy mess. If I could undo this purchase I would have gotten a Samsung instead, or even an LG!

Bapon, 23 Feb 2022Why pixel didn’t keep call duration in call register? Imme... moreIt does keep duration for each and every call. It is on the right hand side of each call.

@Filip, Pixel 6 has Settings shortcuts! Just choose the settings widget and choose which part of the settings you would like to create shortcut in homescreen.

Fast charging isn't a big advantage as it isn't battery-life friendly....

You can dramatically save battery by "pausing" unused apps. This is one my favorite features of Pixel 6.

Why pixel didn’t keep call duration in call register? Immediately should be include call duration in call register so that we cal know how many minutes talked in each call.

I upgraded to Pixel 6 from Oneplus 6. Screen is perfect. Bright colors and very tactile. Other that that - it's all bad.
                                    1. Phone is to bulky especially with google case.
                                    2. It's on the heavy side too.
                                    3. There's no face unlock and fingerprint scanner is more than twice as slower as on the OnePlus.
                                    4. If you want to get to settings - you have to swipe down twice (one time in OnePlus).
                                    5. If you want to turn on flashlight - you also need one more extra swipe down.
                                    6. If you want to turn off wifi (for instance wireless router is acting bad) you need an extra click as oppose to four years old OnePlus and then click on the confirm button (come on).
                                    7. To close all apps you need one more swipe to the right to reveal the button. It's pretty strange for company who invented Material design.
                                    8. OnePlus 6 even charged faster. Ok, I admit, I didn't charge it with google charger but with Samsung 35W PPS charger.
                                    9. Charger is another thing - you don't get it with the phone. Very, very, wrong decision in this time when charger technology is changing rapidly.
