Google is on a good path..still some way to go but they have their own Tensor, Android and room to improve. Battery life is an issue, indeed but I am sure it will be fixed in future releases. A little odd is the big price difference between same model but with more RAM or storage. I really wait for Pixel 7 and if they keep the good cameras and make for a better battery life and keep upgrading this Tensor chip, it will be something to be considered. Of course, that is if they do not explode the prices as a lot of makers do these days.

Tried, returned as biggest disappointment, switching back to Samsung S20 - with no issues at all and 3-4 days battery time on my average usage.

Wanted to buy the Pixel 6 (still love my Pixel 2 but it is a bit outdated now) when I checked the specifications I was shocked. More than 200 grams and freekin big size.
What the pakk is this Google team?
Make a compact size normal phone and ppl who wants a big heavy brick can buy the pro extra whatever. Wake up Google.

this really disappoints no 3.5mm jack no sd card slot and only 128gb of space thats so 2017. and its now 2022 come on if google wants to stay in the lead you better chance your ways and make your own path instead of doing exactly what everyone else is doing. just another disappointment nothing to see keep moving. Hopefully someone will pick up where LG left off. with dedicated DACs 3.5mm jacks and SD card slots.

I had the pixel 2 prior to this phone. I waited 6 months for it to come out and get the Pixel 6 pro. It's the biggest piece of **** phone I've ever had. I can't believe Google even released it. I'm so disappointed. When I send a text message, the message that I sent also stays in the text box at the bottom. So I have to actually delete it before I write another message. Half the time when I try to answer my phone it won't let me. Even if I try to swipe up or say answer. It doesn't work on a lot of charges. It charges slow. The finger sensor is horrible. These are all the things I can just think of off the top of my head right now because I'm so frustrated but I'm sure there's more problems. And the update that they were supposed to release in December still hasn't released and it's mid January now

I am very happy with the phone, sadly face unlock is not present and the fingerprint sensor is far inferior to samsung oneplus oppo and xiaomi phones, pretty much on par with samsungs a52, so it simply doesn't work with very dry fingers.
the camera is superior to anything I've tried to date (not counting professional cameras here)
In the beginning I was fairly disapointed on the battery but after about a week I was able to get about 35 hours out of a single charge. I even was over three hours on yt and over an hour on instagram.
Aptx support up to HD and Adaptive works (eventhough it's not a qualcom processor)
I would have loved to see UWB support, not a big deal yet, but the next fen should get it.
                              Would recommend, and buy again.
I will probably also recommend the 6a if it is what is rumored.

my disappointed is huge software the only point of buying a pixel smartphone
google trying force people use Google Assistant that i would hate too and i didn't think google go as low as Microsoft forcing people to use Edge or windows 10

Am upset with google after hearing this starting to dislike the brand i used be ok with
i want a pixel 4 myself however google is bad and i should look at brands that treat there customers better

i totally agree the design is trash i didn't think google be as bad as they are here
i also dislike the higher prices the 6 line has pixel smartphones should be cheaper also the hole punch does not belong on a pixel smartphone

One month now using this phone and I love it with all it's bugs(hope they get fixed, I had a lot of chats with the google feedback and troubleshooting staff to resolve the really annoying ones[Android auto disconnection, Screen Flickering and GoogleDrive freezing]). Also I paid 500 euros for it which is a bargain here in France.
Performance is stellar, I do find the phone getting warm in games but I can't think of a phone that didn't do this in the last 10 years or so...now we have gaming phones with fans attached to them so yeah nothing out of the ordinary here.
The screen for me displays very beautiful colors, I watched a whole season of Castlevania on it and I was amazed on how beautiful it was.
Screen time for me is around the 5 hour mark, by the end of the day I still have 30% battery left so not bad if you ask me.
The charging isn't the best but I think it's more focused on making the battery last longer than giving the option to charge fully quickly.
Took me 2 days to get used to the whole gesture navigation and now I find it second nature, still I find some annoyance with it like when watching a video and I want to press on the very right or left part of the screen and I can't because that where the "back button" is now.
The camera is superb, at least the software behind it is, it takes great shots every time for me and the selfie camera is something you need to get used to because before taking the shot you will think UGH and then the picture is processed and looks much much better.
I love the quirkiness of this devices, makes me happy they are trying something new in a sea of safe designs. Even the camera bump seems to me something they did to stand out from the crowd. But do buy a case and protection for the screen and camera because this is one slippery phone.
I got this phone for the software not for the hardware and I started loving it just after a day of use, before that a lot of hate and confusion had to be suffered.
Android 12 for me seems like a new beginning, I started using the search function more often, the camera software is magic and the overall feel and behavior of the software is something I haven't experienced in a new phone from my first Android device that had JellyBean on it, everything seems fresh and well though out.
All in all for me it's a 8 out of 10 phone

Been using the pixel for about 2 weeks now.
Oddly warms up on the left side with basic use, gaming results in the entire phone becoming warm, nothing more. The camera is obviously the stand out element. As for the charging, it showcases 'rapidly charging' on the screen only when plugged into a type c port of the laptop or the Apple 20w charging brick, used a Warp30 by Oneplus and it charged really slow. Yes the fingerprint reading is dismal and lacks accuracy, hopefully updates will fix it. Strongly recommend getting a case as the phone is slick.
