Somewhere in a forum I read that a soft format like factory reset kinda reduced the heating issues. I am planning to try it. Will let you know if that works.

Don't Even think about buying this phone.
Worst phone I ever used.
It's overheating really bad, to the point where it shuts down after 10 minutes of 4K video rec or couple of minutes of video chat. Overheating just from browsing (seems to be related to wifi, since overheating with wifi only)
Missing really basic fatures like palm shutter on the camera and lots of other stuff. Camera filters are too basic and are not working very well, no AI mode, etc...
For a phone in this price range I expected a lot more.
Google, it's a total failure.

[deleted post]I brought my pixel 6 pro to the synthesizer psychological psychedelic acid house to capture a few shots with the 50 MP wide camera and was incredibly happy with the pictures. Then I tried the ultra wide and was picking up subjects well outside my field of view. I shuffled through some of the pics using google photos and realized some of the people I had photographed were trapped inside my phone, living in the picture file, including Chet Retland demeaning some poor boy with rock climbing dust all over his clothes. I assume this means googles GIP app will function primarily through the camera!

This is heavy, bulky, laggy and battery doesn’t last a full day. My mate has one and constantly complains about having to charge it at like 7/8pm, and he’s a a low to mid usage. I’ve tried the 6a and that’s light and battery lasts. Although, the pixel phones performances are very average

I was really looking forward to getting this phone but first impressions are awful. The design is so poor. Having a fingerprint scanner under the screen means with a screen protector the screen now has a huge discoloured circle in the middle so it can still read your thumbprint, which ruins the flashy display completely. I say "read your thumbprint" but to be honest the fingerprint scanner doesn't work anyway, even before the protector got put on. The camera module protrudes a ridiculous amount. I know it's Android but you can't rearrange home screen panels which is irritating, partly because it's such an obvious and basic thing to be able to do. The display design options are very limited and mostly awful, too many intricate patterns that app icons get lost in. You can't use split screen unless you have the "gesture input" switched on, which is annoying because again it would have been easy to make it a long press on the "windows" icon like most other phones. Just lots of little, but OBVIOUS details that have been overlooked, which I'd expect from some budget Chinese rip-off but cannot forgive on a flagship Google phone. Awful phone.

Phone is nice size. Makes going into and out of it a breeze. No need for tricky apps or machines.

Not that thrilled with it. I got it for work and it can't get on the corporate WiFi (Cisco WiFi) Even an Apple Phone gets on the WiFi without trying to figure out hundreds of options. Google knows this is an issue and they refuse to fix it. I can't read the screen when I'm outside. So the screen sucks beyond belief, I can't read it when I'm outside. I can read my iPhone 13 outside without any problems. I need my Pixel to be able to log onto the Corporate Wifi so that I can pare it with my Microsoft Phone app but if it's not on the same network it' won't work. So much for taking pics and forwarding them along.

Pixel 6 pro battery is doomed after Android 13 update and it heats alot on Mobile data (4g)
If someone wants to downgrade to Android 12, then message me, I have downgraded to 12 .

W... moreDr. Retland mentioned on a podcast a few months ago that the going into phones app would not be ready until after tiramisu, maybe late 2023 if we're lucky. Lots of governmental red tape because of the patent issues. whenever it is released on the play store i'm sure it'll function great on the pixel 6 and 7 series. Built for it, IMO.

Everything was good on this phone except the heat was so hot, battery life was suck for that capacity, charging time was really make frustated cause it was too slow for smartphone this day

Can't download going into phones app on pixel 6 pro. Wasn't an issue with pixel 5? Not compatible or could the app need updating? Will give it one last shot

I have had Pixel 6 Pro for about 3 months now. So much headache with these bugs. Here are a few bugs that still hasn't been fixed:
1. Screen going black when trying to press call icon button on top right on Whatsapp or Viber as if you want to hold phone to your ear (sensor issue most likely)
2. After exiting app and swiping up to remove background apps, screen feeezes and apps will not swipe up to be removed, but they do move left and right. Annoying.
3. When in google maps following GPS, then switching to youtube and back to maps, all apps crash, and must open maps again. Super annoying and dangerous, especially while driving.
4. Time to time screen freezes, especially on instagram.
5. Battery drain has significantly increased must charge phone twice in a day, sometimes 3 times.
Google! What the heck are you doing? Please!!!!
