fitting a higher battery capacity into phone because of removal of 3.5mm is hardware.
Dont mix those two. You can have 6000mAh with bad software so that you can get less battery life than a 5003mAh battery phone with a better software. Read what I wrote.
And draining battery because of bt headphones can be discarded by using a simple type c to 3.5mm jack adapter. So, that is your own excuse

The TWS buds have come to a point where they fit the use cases of 80-90% of the planet. I however belong in the remaining segment that absolutely need a 3.5mm jack, primarily because the TWS buds still haven't evolved enough.

DevWarehouse, 24 Nov 2021This phone is so hyped up but not a big difference really u... moreIf the rumors are reliable then it'll be using the old IMX sensor of the previous gen pixels. The sensor itself is good but I have noticed the Pixel 6 series to do go overboard with the computational photography. If Tensor doesn't have the same effect on the old IMX sensor then I'd say the camera won't be an issue.
As much as I hate the removal of the 3.5mm jack and despise the possibility of a Google launching a 60Hz phone in the midrange segment in 2022. I would still say that this seems to be shaping upto be a decent device purely because of the OS experience, the software updates, the IMX sensor still being a damn good one as long as the comp photography holds up and due to the unique phone design. It might not be an outstanding midranger but a decent one nonetheless.
Even if 6a might not be remarkable, the Pixel 6 family as a whole feels like a step in the right direction. I am looking forward to what else they can do with their future devices.

This phone is so hyped up but not a big difference really unless a moderately remarkable camera will satisfy the consumers.

PixelFan, 22 Nov 2021Removing the headphone jack doesn't necessarily automa... moreYep, they took 3.5mm jack away and gave nothing in return. It's not like they replaced this jack with something better, nope. It's a complete removal of a simple but very important feature. Smartphone companies obviously win, by cutting manufacturing costs and selling overpriced TWS. End users obviously lose, but unfortunately they're too stupid and gullible to realise their own interests. Otherwise we won't have this pandemic of no headphone jacks which is now out of control. Even Xiaomi Poco series or Google's Pixel A series are affected.

ElioX, 22 Nov 2021They could have left that part empty, but they already wrot... moreJust to get that extra capacity drained by bluetooth when you're at home sitting or lying down! In then end you lose. Indeed, stupid/gullible end users are the reason OEMs get away with these unjust decisions.
In the end it's just another excuse, firstly it was waterproofing, now battery capacity and so on. I think it was Samsung who brought in this battery capacity excuse to justify omission of headphone jack on s20 series. But according to gsmarena, s20 has worse battery than s10 (link: https://www.gsmarena.com/battery-test.php3)
Dont get me wrong, I'm aware they fixed it on s21, but it's due to better chipset and overall improved optimization, not omitting the 3.5mm jack.

Why no headphone jack? Boycott phones without headphone jack. Its going too far even cheap phones now losing it. Not giving 3.5mm jack is inexcusable

It'll be different from person to person, but for me that point is right around 74mm. It doesn't help that so many of these phones have rounded backs so there's less to grab on to.

I don't mind if it has a plastic back, 60hz screen,... BUT it would be a good move for Google to put the Tensor chip in the 6A... That would make it a real contender against cheaper iphones...!
