Positive, 30 Mar 2024Ok.The problem I have with Google is that they are the only... moreNo they are not, actually Samsung has been making the chips for them for years. As well as their own Exynos chips

My biggest problem with this phone is the storage, it's still 3.1 when Samsung has already been releasing phones with UFS4.0 for the last 2 years. Google should just sell their Android division to Samsung at this point. They're doing a far better job with One UI than Google is with vanilla OS.

Positive, 30 Mar 2024Ok.The problem I have with Google is that they are the only... moreRealistically you are right, as they have their own chip so we must expect it better. but its only been their 3rd attempt in SoC department! It's not like we need more power because Pixel 8 Pro has more than enough power to last for next 3 years for its price. If you leave snapdragon aside and compare only Tensor G1 to G3, you will notice a huge jump in performance, efficiency and managing heat that means Google is progressing very good. Remember! when Tensor G1 was launched it had wide spread issues and compare them to G3 now which has almost non-existent. Snapdragon chips are better in full raw power yes which g3 lacks but that comes with extra cost! yet it does not mean G3 is bad or weak as people are making it to be. I also do believe that majority of people never push the SOC to its limits in their usage. I would say, give tensor 2 more years as they are moving away from Samsung to Taiwan's TSMC fabrication with G5 and that will be the actual Google Tensor to look forward to because it will be very close and match the snapdragon chips. It is possible Google might increase the price with G5 as it will be TSMC fabbed. But, surely the future is very promising with Tensor G5 and moving forward.

Radar, 27 Mar 2024I mean it's really not bad at all as people are trying... moreOk.The problem I have with Google is that they are the only brand that makes it's own OS,chip, hardware. So I expect a lot from them. Especially in the chip and integration department. The ecosystem needs to be lag free too

CamoGeko-XDA, 27 Mar 2024Why did Google only put UFS3.1 in this phone?? Last year... moreYou forgot to mention usf: 3.1 on a phone that cost more than 1000 dollars...

Why did Google only put UFS3.1 in this phone??

Last year's Galaxy S23 Ultra already had UFS4.0.

                              Terrible decision, Google.

I have the phone myself and the battery and performance of this phone is very good! even if its not close to Sd8Gen3 .. the battery gets you through one full day easily, so stop whining just because you have too! No one outside some X people knows what a snapdragon is lol! Majority of people care is good screen, camera, battery and user experience, Which it does deliver when combining all that!
It provides excellent user experience, smooth software and due to this specific reason it received numerous awards in Android...
This phone is good for keeping it for next 3 to 4 years maximum.. statistically if you look into reality, no one has ever in their life kept a single phone that long .. maybe a very small % of people. Majority of people change their phone within 2 to 3 years, So for most people this phone is an excellent choice. especially the Pixel 8! considering its price and its always on sale mostly.

Google Pixel is something else, especially the battery life and performance aspect. I find it hard to understand how MKBHD copes with it 🌚💀
