Google are the masters at getting people excited and never delivering on anything they're supposed to. I remember being so happy when the Pixel line was introduced, finally a stock Android experience like Google meant for us. But they could never get the hardware right. Then, they announce Tensor! Finally, integration and optimization, right? Nope. Just call Samsung and rebrand an Exynos SoC.
Google is such a disappointing company when it comes to hardware. I wish they would put more effort into what the consumer wants but judging from what we've seen so far, I just stick to Google on what they do best: email and search.

Same as it is not using GN2, still using old GN1 sensor. Tensor G3 running way lower clock speeds as previously reported. Using regular Mali G715 GPU and not Immortalis-G715 variant, also only 8 core. Old UFS 3.1 memory. So many leaked specs and rumors, are simply not true.

But they are rumors, there are others that it is left with the obsolete GN1 from 5 years ago and the cheap optical fingerprint reader that Chinese manufacturers mount in their $300 mid-ranges!! At this point, when Apple solves the problems of the iPhone 15 pro max it will be the best option to consider

If Pixel 8 Pro comes up with great battery life and with better performance with better cooling system then it would beat Apple and Samsung in its own game.

Slow charging Pixels is a tough pill 💊 to swallow in 2024. 27W is so yesterday 📵
If you charge that slow you better have an edurance like an iPhone 14/15 pro max SOT. What does Google have? Low SOT at parity with faster charging Android yet you have to wait 2hrs when your Pixel goes flat. At least Apples makes up for the higher SOT hence justifiable.
