Honor 8 is better than my 2 samsung GS5 & GS6 when it comes to speed and camera performance. But battery of GS5 and speaker phone is better than Honor 8 and GS6. Video recording and the battery are the two weaknesses of H8.

John, 07 Apr 2017Take samsung 6, better camera, better hardwareLike i Said Samsung s6 is Outdated. lower GPU and processor than Honor 8 and also theres no Memory Slot. with single tone flash, No Laser still using micro usb 2.0, low battery Mah. so if he really want samsung why not go to Samsung s7 or s8 much better. but he want s6, its better to buy Honor 8 their price is almost same but s6 is Outdated

Samsung s6 still got good camera with OIS that honor 8 got only EIS, Samsung s6 got nougat update too. Sadly the charging port still Micro, which is Outdated to the newest phone that has Type-c that support Fast Charging. and when it comes to speed processing and multi process, Honor 8 Wins, because honor 8 can compare to Samsung s7 when it comes to processing only (DONT COMPARE Camera Samsung s7 still higher pixels compare to HONOR 8).

Looks great in saphire blue. Only if could get few added features like voLTE, more refined camera works, and ram/ memory upgrades in same blue body frame and size, it will become immediately best midranger! Also data sharing NFC etc capabilities shall be an icing on this piece de cake too!

if you really wanna buy Xperia brand. go To their latest Sony Xperia XZ premium the first phone that can record video at 960 FPS. with latest processor of snapdragon. but expect the price is Pretty high.

ShadowJaiz, 05 Apr 2017i see so you are using 7.0, well about that i saw some foru... moreWell it updated to nougat at the same day i bought it. At the start the sound was awful at least you tube, and auto brightnes were the same. After update the sound was bit better and auto brightnes a bit too. It is almost year old phone and nougat came few months ago for this phone, so they could fix all at this moment. I didnt mention that i contacted customer service provided by HiCare, and it was superb experience. Thanjs to Rada :)

And when i used rog mode, there was noticable lines when watching youtube. I believe i did everything that user can do to save battery. And i ran phone manager several times a day to close background apps, and phone it self proposed to close some apps some times. So I think there was or some battery problem or software problems on a specific phone, because some users say their phone battery lasts, some say completely opposite.

And wh... morei see so you are using 7.0, well about that i saw some forum that 7.0 still bug thats why 7.0 UPDATE still not official release in their websites. and cannot download. you can download downgrade to their website from 7.0 to 6.0, but you cant download in their website the update 6.0 to 7.0. bug in 7.0 is Battery, the other is Brightness. well me im still using 6.0, it is safe, some of android apps in playstore is also bug in 7.0 so 6.0 still the safest. maybe im gonna update mine in the middle of the year.

I think there was some bug, because at any time android was first in line, when you check wich program consumes most energy. Service checked the phone and said that it works how it should. And i didnt use it for gaming at all, just internet browsing and social media. Maybe there was defective battery, I really dont know. The battery tests at gsmarena shows that Honor 8 battery should hold at 20% less than Galaxy A5, but in real life the difference is 50%, at least in my experience.
