I feel sorry for you because it works without problems for me, but there is a possibility to try to remove the SD card ~properly and transfer your data to another place and clean the card so that it is completely empty and start using it again.

I did this to help and it's proven to work, transfer a video {or a file} with a verified 238Mb from the internal memory to the SD card in my case with video content, open the gallery, select a video, by long press on the selected then press on the three dots at the bottom right, an additional window appears in which you select ''Move'', a position opens for you to transfer to the desired space, then select a folder, (for example with me -Videos memory card-) select and then starts the transfer to ''Videos SD card''- from 0 to 100%, when it's finished go to the gallery one touck to video and check in the upper right corner for the sign (i) where is the information that is in the sd card.
I note that this works flawlessly and it is possible that your problem is in the SD card itself, which is causing you problems, so try a new one, because not with my Honor 8x, but with other phones, I had a similar problem with the sd card from ''Kingston'' and that I returned it 3 times until I finally replaced it with SanDisk, which are excellent and I solved the problem, I hope I helped.

Search sd card online and open Wikipedia site of it and scroll down to capacity and click it. This section shows that sdxc capacity is from 32 gb to 2 tb.
I would have already tested 1 tb and 2 tb microsd card. If I would have started earning from my YouTube channel.

Whenever i copy or move big size files over 100 mb from internal memory to 256 gb microsd card, the menu or bar which shows file is copying or moving freezes for a second or more after every 100 mb to 200 mb copying or moving and then starts again and again does the same.
Does this happens the same with everyone ?

AOSTICKERS , 30 Nov 2022I know this is stupid question, does honor 8x supports 512 ... moreWhen the 8X came out, I heard it could only use a 256 GB SD card. I had always wondered about larger capacity cards. Recently I saw an article about using 400 GB cards. As they are now cheap enough I got one, and can confirm that it does work. I'd like to know about larger capacity cards though as well such as 512 GB and 1 TB.
Interestingly, I heard that on Nintendo 3DS the max card size is supposed to be 32 GB. However I installed a 128 GB card and it works fine, and I hear that 512 GB and 1 TB cards are supposed to work as well. There is a trade-off though, in that there may be slowness loading the home page icons, and some games have SD card checking. I have seen that on a golf game the SD card checking can take a good few seconds. Maybe there will be similar slowness seen using large cards in the Honor 8X (just speculating).
I guess if SD card prices come down, just get one and try it, and if it doesn't work as planned, then sell it. That's what I will probably do.
If you have a load of data on your old SD card, don't bother using Windows copy. I had to use robocopy, and even then, I had to split it over several copies.

the battery is in excellent condition, works like new even after 4 years, but I follow the rule that I do not allow discharge below 25% and charge up to 88% and in this way you do not allow your charge and discharge cycles to count down, and we know that every battery it has a certain number of charge and discharge cycles, somewhere around 500, so if you don't count them, then you have more unused and the battery lasts longer. it's very bad, discharge the battery to 0% and then charge it to 100%, it's not recommended because the battery works best between 30 ~ 80%

you can try with the USB micro to USB type C adapter, because the application says that you need a USB type C connection in order for it to work
