I have the S20 ultra and decided that I don't want a S23 ultra for 1. I will not use the pen 2 . I don't like square corners 3. I do not want a note ....so I've looked at all phones out now and coming soon and have decided to get the honor 5 magic pro when I upgrade in a few weeks when I can pre order the honor magic 5 pro from April 19th in black 🙂 you also get a case , charger and a screen protector in the box with the phone and the phone will be cheaper than the S23 ultra

Only downside for me are the colour choices. Glossy black or matt green...

anyone know if this will have volte and wifi calling? I get poor reception at my house so wifi calling is really useful. Initially on magic 4 pro a lot of people said that wifi calling or volte wasnt available, maybe its region locked?

Go to Facebook see honor group photographs there's samples of magic 5 pro with motion sense the shutter is fantastic capture high quality speed scene with natural photos unlike Samsung shutter lag and bad night photos...

Photos taken by Samsung's HP2 sensor look like they were taken by a potato in comparison to 1' competitors. An oversharpened, detail-less, artefacty mess.
Dude, I owned s21u and s22u, I know how Samsung's processing looks like - and this hasn't improved one bit.

A phone with a 1-inch sensor should have a clear victory over anything else because it can capture a significant amount of more light and add detail. But guess what? None of them actually do. And that's down to software processing and optimization with their chips. Not to mention the sensor itself is what counts, and Samsung's ISOCELL sensor used in the latest flagships are actually BETTER than the one's on the Chinese flagships, hence why they compensate with the bigger sensor to make up the difference. Why do you think the zoom on the S23 ultra is unmatched? Compare all of those phones you mentioned and none of them can even come CLOSE to what Samsung produces. At some point, someone will catch up to them and beat them at their own game anyway, so I'm not too worried about this.
As for the fake moon photos controversy, I'm not even going to get into that debate as Samsung themselves as well as MKBHD and MrWhoseTheBoss have already cleared up that non-issue that was raised by a moronic anti-Samsung hater in the first place. You have to be technically competent to even have this discussion otherwise it's just a waste of time.

GSMArena actually say that 1-inch sensors (on12S Ultra, 13 Pro, X90 Pro+) have a bigger advantage over Samsungs sensor. Plus, all the fake moon shot thing going on here is not a particularly great thing, you know, to attract customers

Real testing is done by YouTubers and other camera experts that have openly said the S23 ultra is just the best device this year, even in the camera department. Remember, Samsung used to be known for their overblowing of photos, saturation and over sharpening which were really the only issues to begin with. With OneUI 5.0, they reduced that dramatically and pictures/videos are much more real life like now. 5.1 has improved on that further, and later in this month, its rumoured for a big camera update to be released, and we all know Samsung improves it's camera over time through software updates. The full potential of this device is going to be unlocked over time.

But I would say that they've picked themselves up quite well and they're slowly becoming the new Huawei. And I mean, if you would trust DXOmark, even though they're not really trustworthy, Honor is on the top at camera. Now I know their ratings aren't accurate. But still, I mean they do some testing after all; even though it might not really be top 1, I still think it should be close

Honor is not the sub-brand of Huawei anymore, it's now owned by a state-owned enterprise controlled by the municipal government of Shenzhen. They don't have access to the same technology as Huawei did, therefore it's a downgrade. Look at the reviews everywhere, it's an incredibly overrated phone due to the hype. Specs sheet suggests it should have taken the Samsung on toe-to-toe, but it fumbled the bag spectacularly especially in the battery department. Trust me, I'd want nothing better than Samsung to be dethroned, but they listened to the customers and are back in form again.
