hm, 23 Jul 2018yep, totally a mess, i wanted to buy it but today i saw it ... moreNot quite so. 1080p is the way to go for 7" or less. Human eyes can't recognize benefit from PPI ~ 220 or more, let alone 400/500 (go figure, read scientific articles). It's a pure marketing. You get benefit from a better quality display though, or even from a HQ photo/video. SAMOLED is definitely better than LCD at a cost, but one may prefer IPS LCD over SAMOLED, thanks to certain advantages of the former over the latter.

On top of that, my 64 GB microSD became corrupt later on, and I'm sure thanks can go to LG software. So, even if they get best HW on paper, I won't buy another LG phone, EVER.

      Kirin 970 made its debut during the stone age. Kirin 980 or I'm out, in fact everyone should stay away from this 970 weakling shame of a phone, gross....

        Should be Android 9.0 for this phone.

              crazyking, 23 Jul 2018this is a step backward. honor note 8 has a better screen ... moreSuper AMOLED to many is superior than IPS LCD and it is also more expensive. Also I use full black theme on most apps and with extreme usage I get 2 days of battery on Mate 10 Pro.

                          this is what note 8 has, 1440 x 2560 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~443 ppi density)

                            Still don't know, which series should I consider as their Flagship? :D
