Totally agree with everything you said too. I have the Huawei watch & I want to murder kittens when the notifications stop because the phone killed an app, even tho the app is protected. I'm going to use Titanium Backup & freeze the phone manager app & see if that fixes it! I so wish someone would put together a stock google rom for this phone & totally remove all the chinese apps.

I was so upset to lose my Note 7 it was the best phone I'd ever had. After watching & reading a lot of reviews I decided on this mainly because the 5.5" screen is just not big enough. I can't tell you how blown away I am by this phone!! The screen is phenomenal! It's speed is amazing, faster than my Edge 7. I really don't feel like I'm using a mid price smartphone at all its so good. The camera is OK, yes in low light it struggles, and trouble with not notifications is a pain but other than that it's perfect! I'm going to be torn in two when the Samsung Note 8 is released next year, I have no idea what to do now I've experienced this!

All of a sudden they sprung into life on the app I installed first! It's frustrating, particularly as I have a Huawei Watch which Without Notifications From The Phone Is Pretty Useless! I am getting more than I was though so hopefully over the coming days I'll get more.

sam, 01 Nov 2016hello everyone, i will buy the note 8 from china, my friend... moreI imported mine from China through a company called Wonda and they took off the Chinese apps, as many as they could there are some left, then installed English and Google apps. The Wonda website will be able to tell you if it will work in your country. I have been able to obtain a Huawei ID with no problems.

My whatsapp notifications aren't alerting me when they first arrive. Even though I changed the protection and permission. I haven't been able to find a workaround yet. if anyone has any suggestions..Other than that, I'm still enjoying this device and have no regrets.

I'm in UK my Note 8 arrived yesterday. So far it's great by I'm not getting all notifications that I should. I have altered the apps to protected in the battery setting and whilst I've got more than I did its not anywhere near what I'm getting on my Samsung S7 Edge. Does anyone else have this and know if there's something I should do? Would changing to a different launcher help?

sam, 01 Nov 2016hello everyone, i will buy the note 8 from china, my friend... moreWell.it will be useless if the phone is started there as first you have to have Huawei ID to create an account which is not possible outside china because chinese phone number will be required..better to ask your friend to buy any chinese line thus create the Huawei ID

Hello, does this phone work properly in GCC region? Its sold on Jadopado but it will be shipped from HongKong. Does anyone have it in the GCC? Does it work perfectly?

AnonD-602101, 03 Nov 2016hey can you please confirm if you can record in 4k?Unfortunately, you can't record in 4k. 1080p is what you get. That's perfect enough for me. It's one of those tradeoffs for getting an awesome phone at this price point. I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to theto bigger phone makers..i.e Samsung, LG..etc Huawei did a pretty good job with this one.

Honor support team informed me that the chinese version will not work in lebanon, and i think this phone is only intended for china and wont be rrleased in the middle east, unlike what some if the friends are posting. Its frustrating not to be able to get the phone
