Sam, 14 Jan 2011I'm considering to buy the HTC Desire over Desire HD simply... moreFact that the spec sheet say Desire has 1400mAh and Desire Hd has 1230mAh, the Desire HD has beter batter life.
2nd generation QSD8255 1ghz snapdragon processor is much more energy efficient and it runs faster. Don't forget about the 768mb of RAM with 1.5gb internal storage (Desire only has approx 140mb of internal storage).
Also, Desire HD's LCD screen is still gorgeous, but the darker colours aren't as vibrant and vivid as AMOLED display.

My friends Desire is not particularly loud but it is audible enough to suffice.
My other friend has the Desire Z which is a hell of a lot louder than the standard Desire.

kevin, 14 Jan 2011Does 2.2 froyo update increase battery? I'm afraid not. Battery life is dependent on a number of factors such as how the device is used and also other factors like hardware power requirements, such as the 1GHz CPU.

How is the sound quality od Desire through speakers?
I read in lots of reviews that Desire HD's sound is very low, you can't hear the ringtone properly.
Does Desire has the same problem?

As for the Experia there was an article this week on here or Android Central (can remember which) were the top man as SE admitted they made mistakes with the Experia, also its behind in Android versions.
Read the article then decide....

When the Desire first came it came with AMOLED. Now its only being shipped out with SLCD screens. So be warned if you are actually hoping for an AMOLED screen

Should I go for this one or Desire HD???Well I'm not sure if HTC is in AMOLED display shortages. If you like more vibrant colours, go for Desire. But if you want a faster phone with a newer processor, new HTC sense UI, bigger screen, and if you don't mind LCD display, then I think you should go for Desire HD.
Don't get me wrong, both phones are excellent. But ultimately, it is your personal preference. I think you should check out demo in person first.
