yep, HTC Desire has only 147mb internal storage space. Don't be fooled like me by 512 ROM. ROM- Read ONLY Memory. This means that you won't be using that memory.

Link4u, 15 Dec 2010Yes that is right, the desire is better (faster, smoother) ... moreHTC Desire is pretty much the clone of Nexus One, except that Desire has a bit more RAM and little to none internal memory (needs SD card).

The Desire HD uses the next generation Snapdragon processor. GSMArena got the specs incorrect for DHD. It uses the MSM 1ghz processor and the Desire Z uses MSM 800mhz. Both have the newer integrated Adreno GPU.

Plus, Desire HD has more internal memory to store apps. Despite having a SLCD screen, I would choose DHD.

But for now, i'll stick with Desire for another year or two.

julian-f-a, 14 Dec 2010i was wondering something very particular about this phone.... moreYes that is right, the desire is better (faster, smoother) because the DHD uses the same 1ghz prox. as the dhd haz a bigger screen it is slower. CAN I HAZ ROOT+OVERCLOCK?

julian-f-a, 14 Dec 2010i was wondering something very particular about this phone.... moreThe Htc Desire HD is the high defination version of the Desire, it's larger in size virtualy no lag when multi tasking a much better phone than the standard version if you can afford to buy or lucky enough to have an upgrade on your current contract.

I just bought this phone last month after a lot of research and comparisons with other phones especially iphone 4.
It's my first smartphone I'm so happy that I got it, Colorful amoled screen and amazing UI I couldn't resist it x) I like browsing the net and watching youtube in my HTC Desire
Battery life is good lasts more than one day for me, and internal memory is not a problem anymore with froyo update.
                                  LLLove it sooo much ^-^
