Daniele, 08 Oct 2010how many days the batery life is ? plss i want days :)) vic... moreI have Android 2.2 & i get just 1 days battery life, even though i have installed juicedefender that is supposed to help with battery life.

The battery life is very very poor, but I still love the phone & currently I think it is the best android phone on the market. I hate the current 4.0" or larger screen sizes.

Im a Desire user and very happy with the product.

But I will disagree with you on the over heating part.

I was using Nokia E-72 before Desire and my GPRS was working 24/7 on my cell using Nokia Messaging service and it NEVER EVER showed any sign of heating on any part.

But in Desire using GPRS for even 15-20 minutes heats the back of the handset to a considerable amount and which scares at times.

But then I have made myself used to be Off GPRS on phone when not needed as Im VERY HAPPY with Desire n especially Android.

You must be an iphone or galaxy S owner.

The 'overheating fault' only occurs when heavy gprs is used (which happens in all phones).

Don't listen to this guy people, the Desire is a brilliant phone which is reliable and fast. This guy has a hate issue.

Don't buy this phone people. There's a major overheating problem with this phone and HTC are useless at fixing it. The phone will randomly overheat and reboot. There's no point in paying a fortune for a smartphone you can barely use to make calls without it going into major overheat and rebooting. This phone is a piece of crap

You guys should help me please. I've sent my queries/questions twice and this is the third one; my Desire has been very very unstable. The Ringer Volume, Leap View, Home Screen and Recent Apps keep swapping themselves on its own as if there is an invisible hand operating the phone. It vibrates occasionally during this period. I've stopped doing FACTORY RESET. I tried doing RECOVERY but after selecting Apply sdcard:update.zip, this error message appeared "E:Can't find /sdcard/update.zip
installation aborted". I've been enjoying my Desire maximally until this issue started occurring. Please you guys should help me and seriously banking on you. Earnestly waiting.

About 2.2 Froyo update..seems you from India. If ou have bought this handset locally from India then you need to go to Settings > About Phone > System Software Updates & then click on Check Now for update, It will give you the update for Froyo.

I bought this handset in India and the same day I checked for update and it gave me update for 2.2.

Would advise you to download the update from WiFi...as its a big file and take s long long time to download through GPRS.

                                      2) You can download the SYNC software from the memory card that came with Desire, it has the set up inside. How ever for the New Sync update, you can download from Asia 2( dnt knw the differnece as for me its working.)

I am using HTC desire for last 2 months and I am happy with it's performance, but I need some quarries. Those are as follows,
                                        1. I want to download the new sync software from HTC site which needs the location code. like ASIA 1 or
Asia 2. Now my question is if I am from India which zone is this ASIA 1 or ASIA 2??
                                        2. I want to upgrade my desire software from Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair), to Android 2.2 (Froyo). From where and how can I do this?? what is the process??

                                        Please can anyone help me??
