David, 20 Sep 2010by the way here's one ive just found for u http://www.appbr... more"All" apps can not be moved or installed on sd, and even thosa that can be installed on sd does not install the whole program on sd but leaves some part on the internal memory so if you want to install many apps the small internal memory on Desire will very soon be a problem.

afmet, 20 Sep 2010Hi dude Some days ago ,i installed andriod 2.2 on my desir... morehey afmet i believe i can help u. although i'm only from australia and android 2.2 (or froyo) hasn't been released here yet, i have come across an easy solution there is an app u can download that indeed moves all of ur apps to ur SD card. just search through www.appbrain.com and search for it. i've come across it many times but unfortunately for me it can only be used on android 2.2 so that's good news for u! anyway hope it helped =]

laura, 20 Sep 2010i've decide to buy a HTC...and i'm focusin' on HTC HD2- HD ... morehey laura i have a HTC Desire so i thought id help u with ur problem =]...u see a lot of the latest htc mobiles have capacitive touch screens which are really great to be honest when texting, alot of other phones like some samsungs & LG models have resistive screens. capacitive means it only requires a light tap when pressing using the phone while resistive means u sometimes need a bit of a long firmer press on the screen. pretty much all of the htc mobiles already come with text prediction so it knows pretty much all the words u type & it can save words it doesn't already know. when texting u can turn the phone sideways so the keyboard turns into "landscape view" the buttons then become bigger & spaced out so its easier to type with just like a computer keyboard. also i've found that there are heaps of keyboard apps that u can use instead of just the standard. at the moment on mine i have a demo of a keyboard called "Swype" that lets u swipe ur finger along the letters u require instead of just typing them. the demo version of it is called "SlideIt" & is free to download from the app store. u can also get one that makes the the buttons u need 2 press bigger while shrinking the others as well (just to let u know only the phones running android have access to these apps, but the HD2 has a massive 4inch screen so it'll be in fact easier to type with). but then again if u don't want any of those features may i suggest what a friend of mine uses for her iphone. it's just like a pen with a sort of rubber ball of the end which acts like ur finger. although that would mean ur texting would be alot slower then just using ur fingers or thumbs. anyway hope that helped u with ur decision =]

Did anyone do any tests with the battery life and compare them with the Galaxy S? The SGS has bigger screen, better battery while the Desire has smaller screen with worse battery... so the battery life should be the same.. anyone?

as a matter of fact, and as for myself as a physician the most important things for my pocket are 1stly E-books and rapid accessin' to data fast and easy...i decided to buy HD2 becuz of large enough screen but the OS is windows. but since the new android OS HTC has loomed its shadow on the old market of windows mobiles,i got temptated to buy the new OS android but i'm afraid my e-books won't work the same on android and about the applications...so i still dither and waitin'

Windows Mobile is terribly old, and is going to be replaced with the new Windows Phone 7 later this year, but the applications are no longer compatible...

Android OS has more than 100,000 applications. There are a few ebook reading applications. I myself use the excellent Aldiko application.

Typing goes perfectly fine on mini or full QWERTY on-screen keyboards. Even better, there are new techniques used that make typing much faster (Swipe, SlidIT, etc...).
