I work for t-mobile and let me tell you the htc desire is better than the x10. I know this because t-mobile already have loads of x10's with the same old somy ericsson software problems. never mind those of you that have just got an x10. You should be able to upgrade again in 17 months or so. lol Statisticly, the desire sells more than the x10.

people are always complaining about phones because they are not perfect. But no phone is perfect, because everyone has a different taste. I think there are a couple of phones that are really good. A phone is bad when it doens't work well, i don't think so this phone will work bad. Phones are bad when the touchscreen doesn't work well, and if the phone is VERY slowly or that stuff. I don't think desire have all this. :)
And after that, if you don't like, you buy another one?
No phone is working for your whole life :)

This is most definitely the best smart phone out there. Everday is a new learning a new thrilling experience with it & it never ceases to impress.
In summary for people who have not used a smart phone or a touch screen device.please don't get booged down by comparisions & confuse yourself with the fights below. Just go get this beauty, it will take you on a joy ride. You are lucky if this is your first smart phone buy. If not no.1 by any comparision, its not number 2 either. So its up there :)
For experienced smart phone users. You cannot deny that this stands among the best. Every model has its own minor limitation including x10, iphone etc..but then if anybody can come out with 10/10..how will they sell their next product ?? think about that.
Keep it simple i say..Keep a good camera at home..Buy a nice audio for music..if you are lucky to be spending whole day on internet..buy a slick laptop & FINALLY BUY A SMART PHONE LIKE DESIRE- Cause you might not get the best of all the above, but you will still have access to all that & it wont disappoint.It will keep you very happy..especially if your like me...Always on the run....Who would want to listen to music on phone when at home.ill turn on my home theatre..& for a special occasion Ill get my cannon to shoot the best pics ;) Cheers !

you know what. if you really think that your phone is great and the best of all. you dont to go to other forums just to prove it.. let them decide what they want..

The truth hurts but its the truth..
those who are complaining so much about this phone being having a 5mp camera and not having an 8mp. those people must really be poor... the truth is they dont have enough money to buy a real camera.. their hard earned money or donation from their parents is just enough for a camera phone. its a shame having a party with your relatives family and friends and you are just counting on your "cameraphone".. what a SHAME...
those who have more money to buy a smartphone and a Good camera (DSLR) will never complain a smartphone having just a simple camera.. 3mp is just enough (iphone) 5mp more than enough (desire)...
For me, 5mp camera is more than enough.. i dont use my phone as my main camera lol. for me my phone is for business, call, email, sms, and sometimes playing with applications and games, i love personalising my phone... camera? i dont usually use it. just sometimes when its needed. so whats the use a great camera in a pHone. it cant even match a true professional camera...
if you care so much about camera. dont buy a phone. your wasting your "just enough money" buy a professional camera insteed.
you got it hamid? now go back to your kingdom and praise your god "sony" just dont cry here in Desire forum

Hi, i've heard so many good reviews about this phone and my contract has been up for the past two weeks.
I was originally ygoing to get it on T-mobile but because of the very steep price increase I decided not to.
I'm looking at O2 instead and was wondering if anyone knew the release date for this phone on O2.
It was on the wesite a few days ago and it said that it was 'coming soon' in april.
Now its not on the website anymore. Any thoughts?

Bad news For X10 lovers who is bothering others,
SE is not going to upgrade to 2.1. instead SE will have their alternative to 2.x features through their own updates

its not the htc desire so its got worse specs and doesnt run as smooth. but u get the idea of how its supposed to run. remember the htc desire runs much better than the demoed phone.
