-g700 business edition (basically a g700 without a camera, the name to me wud hv indicated improved version, but i guess thats not the case)
u dont find any of these names cheesy?

--> at least se fanboys will no longer be able to say. its got 8mpx instead of 5, buy x10. if the incredible doesnt tie with the se x10 in a spec category, it beats the x10 in that category. x10 doesnt hv any feature better than the incredible. also if u dont find any of SE's names for phones cheesy u must be deaf and blind.

--> cud it be their way of marketing (take diamond for instance)??? btw speaking of inferiority, SE had asked HTC to make the x1. and y does it take SE so long to release a phone after they have announced it? they just announce phones with great specs but then are usually not first to deliver a phone with those specs. (no inferiority complex here).

--> true out of the box it comes with 4gb but retailers where i am give u an extra 8gb card as a promotional thing. like i said it is very dependent on the location.

--> true both of them need updates. but the product manager of se x10 said there is also a hardware problem with it so it wont support multitouch. if that persons wrong, then SE have a terrible manager.

--> performance on both is fine. but the x10 does need more processing power for its ui. this means less processing power for other apps. true the x10 also has better battery life.

--> i wud say SE has more eye candy such has several tones of blue and animations for contacts and such. sense ui has widgets or shortcuts which are faster to work with than going thru menus to open the individual app. i admit the battery is worse on desire.

I currently have the SE X1 and I'm ready to go Android. I was seriously considering the HTC Desire but now leaning towards the X10 and I admit I've always been a huge SE fan. Thanks again.

How boaring the phone you have could be. cuz you have more time posting to an HTC forum than playing with your newly purchase phone...

I've had my Desire for almost a week now, and I believe it's really the best smartphone I've ever owned. Everything is smooth, works well, the Sense UI is just wonderful to use. Only thing I had to fix right away was downloading a new virtual keyboard from the Market because the built-in one had a quite ugly solution to entering swedish letters (åäö), holding the A or O letter and choose from the popup. The app "Scandinavian Keyboard" fixed that for me :)
Just a little note to the ones arguing that the X10 is better, I was at a phone store today to get a case for my Desire and the salesperson wanted to have a look at my phone (because they hadn't got them in stock yet) and he said it felt much better than the X10 (which they had been selling for a couple of weeks).
He described the X10 as a bit sluggish and not as touch-responsive as the Desire and told me the SE user interface is quite cr*ppy in comparison to Sense.
I usually don't trust sales people but this one knew he wouldn't sell me a phone because I already have a brand new one so he really had no reason to lie.

nah, i'm not affiliated with SE in anyway, and i don't even have any preference for them in general. for the last 2 years i've been using Nokia but like a lot of people i'm excited about Android. I decided to post my impressions here bc there is a lot of cross-shopping between between X10 and Desire since these two are the latest to hit the market. My post was strictly about the products, however HTC retarded fanboys couldn't handle my opinion and responded in typical retarded fashion instead of having a factual discussion. so go on, cherish your " greatest phone ever made", lol. what will you say when X10 will have the same or higher version of android as Desire? and it'll still be better looking, with better capabilities all around. oh and FYI, i'm actually going to wait for the HTC Incredible since it sounds just about perfect, the only drawbacks being the AMOLED screen's sunlight legibility and only 512 ROM. i'm done discussing the very mildly desirable Desire. talk amongst yourselves. :)

and you should know one thing about HTC & SE. SE has asked HTC to just make a phone, one of the phone is Xperia X1. X1 IS MANUFACTURED BY HTC.
My question here, has HTC ever released a phone which is manufactured by SE? I dont think so.
You should know the fact first before you give bad comments/opinions about HTC. Shame on you!

lol seriously this forum is for ppl who are contemplating to buy Desire and have questions on Desire. are you guys Sales Representatives from SE or smth? if so you're doing a pretty bad job lol... just go home hug your SE to sleep knowing that you have bought the bestest phone on earth. we aint gonna convince u it's not~ actually I am using SE right now and I think SE and HTC are equally good in different ways. but having to be associated with likes of you guys is making me sick of the idea of owning an SE phone... I really like Sony! They make great digital electronic devices such as PSP etc... Japanese are well known for their high-tech products...

secondly, no one's forcing you to buy desire with "outdated 5MP camera" (btw. yust fyi number of pixels doesn't mean quality by itself).
i, for one thing, don't go to x10 comments with intention to impose my own opinion and to try to convince people that desire is better. i find that is waste of time even though i have plenty of arguments, unlike you and your equally unobjective and annoying friend sarkish. you should both do something together, you are some kind of soulmates. Sweet.

Guys stop bitching! You need to have owned and tried both phones for a few days to really get the feel and see what works better for yourselves.
I had both and personally I prefer by far the Desire for many reasons which i'm not going to list here since there are enough reviews on both phones..
