Jimmy, 03 Mar 2011Hi all, I just got htc desire yesterday..However in its fir... moremy desire is 6 months old, it started heating up and it restarts by itself on the second month, i ignored it and thought it was okay and nothing serious until yesterday it did it again. i read in some forums about the "restarting problem" and i learned that it is an issue all over the world, they say its the motherboard. i went to htc service center this morning and the same was said about the motherboard. luckily my desire was still on warranty. my only concern is, to some desire owners that got their motherboard replaced, they claimed that after a few months of use, their phone started to have the same problem all over again. so i asked the person from the htc service center about it, he said changing the motherboard is not 100 percent guarantee. i really hope htc solves this problem. the problem seems to be an htc manufacturing flaw. try reading forums about this problem and you will find a lot. it is obvious that htc is aware of this problem but i dont think they really care, such a pity. it is us the consumers who suffers. time and money wasted.

mememe, 14 Mar 2011hi everyone. i've been thinking of buying either desire or ... more.... And so i pondered to me self... thought of everything...if i was to buy a phone..spend money for something that i will be using for a long time... better spend it wisely... and so i decided to buy me self a desire.. and so i came to another shop(of course, i wouldnt be returning to he first shop).. askd for a desire.. the very moment i held it in my hand, turned it on.. my jaw dropped,my heart leaped and i was so obssessd right away with my desire...
    1.Great Clear Screen...
    2.Very Responsive touchscreen...good looking UI...
3.The Best Mobile Web Browser there is.. Lightning Fast... Supports all flash sites...and u view it as u see it in pc...
4.Great mail management.. u recieve the mail instantly (just like txt)the moment ur connected to the web.
5.Great Apps in the Android Market...
    6. Too many to mention Greatness...

So My advice? Go for desire if you arent in a tight budget..if u are, just keep saving ur money till it reaches desire. Believe me HTC Desire is SO WOrth it!
im in a relationship with my desire right now... hehehe..

AnonD-3856, 14 Mar 2011hi everyone. i've been thinking of buying either desire or ... moreEy Dude... Dont Buy Wildfire...!!
lemme tell u my story in how i ended up to HTC Desire..
I was really planning to buy me self a new phone(i was using N97 classic at that time) .. and i came across this HTC Android Phone called Wildfire.. read and made a research abt its specs..and it specs really enticed me.
they were telling a downside of its screen..but as to what i see in its pictures everywhere,i thought i can bear with it..(***take NOTE*** i havent actually tried the phone in the flesh...).and its far cheaper than desire... and so it was decided..
      HTC WildFire it is!
then when im about to buy the phone, the shop presented me of the actual unit..held it in my hand..turned it on..and Voila! the WORST Pixelized screen iv ever seen since Nokia 3530..
i was so Disappointed of its screen.. i didnt know why HTC approved to have it at 320x240 pixels..(cmon legend and hero werent like that)..
i just made a drama to the shop and said that i will not be getting the phone(good thing it worked..hehehe)...........

gsmarena says the optical trackpad is no good, i have to disagree, other than being a camera key, it's also good for browsing, when texts are small its hard to use the touchscreen to turn headings on, of course there's pinch zooming but i wana see everything in the screen (desktop view)so this is where the trackpad comes in very handy, i use it a lot now

almost 3wks with my desire, i guess the 3G coverage is fine afterall, no disconnections since my last post, i guess i was just in a choppy area when i noticed it before.. been tweaking the camera and videos, still fair, hit and miss.. video quality would have been perfect if not for the flickers.. well we cant have it all.. been playin with latitude and maps as well, gps is cool! you dont need internet to run it as long as you dont have a roof or cover above you and limit the option to terrain rather than sattelite image.. my officemate who has an iphone4 is envious she doesnt have stand alone gps on her phone!

sachin7k, 11 Mar 2011Hi, The trouble is it did go into landscape mode when I us... moremine cant do landscape as well since day one, just download mixzing from the marketplace, you'll have landscape, an equalizer, you could tweak songs individually and you could adjust the gain as well, a big help if you have some songs which have lower volumes compared to others.. btw dont transfer this to the sd card, its gonna be bugged that way, it happened to me so i had to uninstall, but i downloaded it again coz its the best music player app for me (eq wise, and i could set up folders).. it's just a couple of mb's so its ok to leave it at the onboard memory

                                      I'm having some trouble here..

It seems like it is IMPOSSIBLE to access the Proxy Settings on my Desire without rooting my phone (which is running on Android 2.2).

If anyone out there knows how, please help me :(

Plus, I can't find any folders or whatsoever which will show me what files/apps are stored in my phone memory and SD card. Again, I need help on these so badly :-
