Just observe your battery consumption, during the 1st few days you'll notice a gradual increase, you don't need the battery trick, just make sure you drain the battery before charging, and your battery will calibrate by itself in a week or two.. if you notice poor battery life then give the trick a try..keep us posted

You can create,move,copy,deleat,un/zip files and do all the usual stuff. Very good for file browsing etc.

@those having slow mobile
First kill unwanted running background app using taskkiller.
Then try it.
@those battery problem
uncheck the automatic update for twitter,facebook etc..... or change the time interval.Bcoz it will use internet at stand by.
if you dont want internet,deactivate it.
Always enable automatic brightness or at medium level.
you dont have 3G in your area then select only GSM in network mode.
it will save battery.

I had the 3G connection issue before. But after installing a HTC software update for the Android 2.2 the issue is resolved. No more lost connection.

Simply The Best... Better than all the rest...
thats all i can say about htc desire...
no hangs... the best web browser(supports all flash sites as u view them in pc), no jailbreak needed... not pc dependent(eg.iTunes)...cool apps in phone...
iv been using mine for 2weeks.. and its been the best phone i ever had...
battery's no issue to me.i can use(normal usage) mine for 2days w/o charging..and its fine with me..
htc desire will really separate u from the crowd using nokias and iphones...
but i wouldnt recommend this to everyone... for i wouldnt like it to be a Common Crowd Phone(just like nokias and iphones for that matter)...

HTC gave me a discount so I got it for only P22,000.
For my initial charge, I would plug it for 8 hours. I'm looking forward to try the "battery trick" you posted earlier. Gonna compare the battery life before and after doing the trick :)

Guys,
Let me know how to improve the battery performance of Desire mobile. It works for 4-5 hrs/day only, cant use for long run...

btw guys, 3G connection is not good for browsing it gets disconnected sometimes, i guess what i read in some forums that the desire has 3G issues are correct..well i have wifi at home and i make sure to look for a wifi ready area when i feel the itch to browse.. well wifi is free and i wont bother to pay for 3G data on my network

Most of the issues with Speed in other Phones is not here this is splendidly fast.
But the camera quality is very ordinary. The settings are provided but their Performance isnt great, the metering mode just dont caliberate well, pictures are under exposed, and everytime color saturation is lost.

And ever since i got this phone, its been working fine but the only drawback which i find in this phone is its battery backup. the battery last for around 6-7 hours if used continuosly.Rest the speed has been awesome and m flattered by the UI of HTC(Great job done):=)

im also from the Ph & bought my HTC Desire from the Caribbean. I have the European white version. This phone is phenomenal, the only downside is the battery life and the internal storage.
