I have been using HTC desire 816 for a year now. And trust me it is a pain. So annoying no space .. cannot download apps. I am so pissed and angry right now. The phone's inbuilt space is less ok fine. Now you use a card and you still don't have space. because the phone won't let you transfer apps. I am literally crying.

Before updating my HTC desire 816 I was so happy with my phone, but after updating lollipop version I becomes frustrated in half day ...battery goes down 5% IN one minutes sometimes.can any one help me regarding..

Since this is the kitkat phone most apps will create and write in the internal SD>android>data>, so you should move them to external SD using built-in file manager. I hope you now have changed the default storage to sd in camera setting. Now enjoy one of the best phone in this price range even better now due to price reduction.

I am using HTC desire 816 for 28 days. it is really a nice device. i like it.. i have compared with other phones but after the comparison I think this is the best phone in the perspective of mid range. Because we always have some problems with mid range phone but i did not find any problems of it. No over heating, no quick battery drain issues. The camera is awsome and ram speed is too good though it is 1.5 GB.
OKay so i suggest you if ur budget is mid range then u should go for it...

You can go for it, just take care of not updating OS to lollipop before they fix many issues that we are facing with phone. Battery backup for heavy use is, on KitKat is about 11hrs and around 7hrs if it's Lollipop. With average use, it lasts longer to 30-35hrs.

I've already posted my experience with Lollipop update, before about a month. Now it's getting worse as battery backup lessened by 3-4hrs, now it's hardly 7hrs with heavy use, which sucks. Keyboard went missing loads of times, Music player needs Restart of mobile, sometimes. Volume is not loud as on KitKat. Update is needed, otherwise handset will suffer from battery life issues and performance too.
