Decide what you WANT!
1. Seeking a 'play/toy' item.... ?
or
2. Business tool..... ?
1. As a "play/toy' item... WONDERFUL! FB/Twtr/Gtalk, etc, fine..... I can't fault it.
2. Business wise - ABSOLUTE disaster!
And here is why......
99,9% of us run Windows on the desktop. 99,9% of us use Outlook. If - like me – your Outlook contacts are Surname, Name (Soap, Joe) then ADROID swaps it AUTOMATICALLY for you on "sync" to... "Joe Soap"!
On next "sync" ALL CONTACT ARE ZAPPED BACK TO OUTLOOK! Duplicate entries created! Soap, Joe and Joe Soap!!!
COMPANIES are allocated (randomly by ANDROID it seems)... BIRTHDAYS!!!! Location changes from South Africa - Reykjavik !
On this particular ph... "People" (HTC term for 'Contacts') VANISH!!!!!!! (You sync and SYNC and ... eventually GIVE UP!) Then, by accident, you "Search People"... (different option to "People") and VIOLA!! THERE THEY ARE!!!!
HUH??????????
Worse - the HTC Sync program is down right PATHETIC/CRIPPLE! (Ver 3.0.5481)
You cannot set SYNC options UNLESS the ph is connected. By that time SYNC has screwed up CONTACTS you have JUST for the umpteenth time "re-ordered" to have it all screwed up... AGAIN!
Windows Mobile 6 (TyTN II) : Microsoft ActivSync Sync'd Folders, Contacts, Appointments, Birthdays, Email (with attachments) Tasks and Notes all FLAWLESSLY!!!!!!!
ANDROID as an operating System in the Business environment...DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS!!!! Not Folders! Not Email! Not Notes! Not Contacts (properly)!
ActivSync "sync'd" C:\ files & folders 'as is' from laptop to TyTN II. Perfectly! Be it a *.doc, *.jpg, *.mp3, *.vsd(visio).... basically you had a nice backup of your laptop too.
ANDROID decides FOR YOU:
"Oh no... I can't sync a *.doc, *.jpg, *.xls WITH a mp3 or *jpg all together ..... and Visio? What is that? I'll just ignore it!!
HOW DARE YOU DECIDE FOR ME????????
ActivSync WM6 "sync'd" it as *I* wanted it to be done!
Oh! Another ANDROID :grrrrrrrrrrr............:!!!
You select either : HTC Sync... or 'Disk drive'... ie memory stick and proceed to "copy" files if you so wish.
No guys… ANDROID for Business is JUST NOT ON!
(I trust Windows Mobile 7 (latest) is built on 6.1 … !!)
Conclusion:
I do regret changing to ANDROID. WM7 I *think* would have been the superior solution/option.
HTC Company : (tip for you) on 1st Start-up of the ph offer two Icons for us, the user to choose the operating system:
Window or Android.
Nice ph, but hopeless operating system forced on us!

both are for cash payment.
I got mine from Memo Xpress.

Excellent info, hope it works for hd2 also, im g... moreIt does work for all Li-ion batteries :) Don't worry about the complaints about the battery, maybe they just got it and played with it the whole day or for several hours. Obviously the battery will not last longer that way, as soon as you use it as a phone, you will see the big difference :) Just my 2 cents

Dez, 05 Jan 2011Ive had mine for four days now, nd i am very impressed,stil... morehello, try adjusting the white balance, im pretty sure the cloudy mode (if actually available) makes the image yellowish. i actually dont have ðhð but im most phone like n97 and SE phones that's the key.

Ive had mine for four days now, nd i am very impressed,still exploring it nd havent taken it out of the house yet coz im still waiting for my cover case nd screen protector...one thing thats of concern though is the camera pics, they appear somewhat yellow, esp at night. anybody knw of a way to correct this?

This phone is just worth nothing comparing to Samsung phones. in regarding to stability and capacity and even to support, I emailed the HTC Support inquirng about the arabic support release which is in every samsung and Iphone (Phones) they didn't answer me. you guys of HTC YOU DON'T THE SUPPORT DON'T DISTRIBUTE YOUR PRODUCTS YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THE MARKET.

How to format battery:-
1: unbox and start using it straight away.
2: Use the phone till there is about 10% battery left.
3: Charge the phone for about 10-12 hours.
4: Repeat step 2,3.. ABOUT THREE TIMES.battery formated
