I tried to update mine also and I didn't get it, sad but it's okay cause it only enhanced the camera and battery but it has a major bug with the SMS. hey guys ...merry christmas........i love this peace of art and wanna buy it one of these days . but no one can deny the superb amoled display of sgs .i m a fan of htc and i back your comments about dhd ram,cam,cpu & ui but the battery and its cover made me think twice about dhd & sgs . i need your professional ideas about them specialy about sgs fake ram .....im 70% of buying dhd .....who can make me 100%.....????????

RKR, 04 Jan 2011For Battery Life drain out the battery from 2-3 times. I d... moreyes, that's is right. drain the battery to the point were your DHD won't turn on then charge it. do this steps like 2-3 times.

@kingbradley you are from Philippines right? i got mine from memo xpress 2 days ago, Jan 03, 2010. It says here that there's is an update, 2.2.1? but my phone won't find it when I tried to check for update. maybe is has something to do with the region.
anyway, this phone is so AWESOME! bye bye to my satio T_T

For Battery Life drain out the battery from 2-3 times. I drained out the battery 3 times and my battery life was extended from 8-10 hours to day and a half. I am a heavy user as i play games browse internet and also use talk time. If you are a medium user the battery will last you atleast 2 days easily after draining it for 2-3 times sine you bought the phone. Hope this works for the future buyers regarding the battery concerns.

This Phone is amazing, got this monster 2 weeks ago and been testing it. The software and hardware are really impressive. The video quality and pictures from camera are really top features of this phone. The sound quality is good when you are using handsets/hands-free.
But if u apply any customized ring-tone rather than original hTc or download able hTc ring-tones the sound kind a gets lost if you are in crowded area/place. The hTc sense feature are really cool, like it detects itself if boxed or in pocket and rings loud and other sensors impressive too. It is on the top list to get the Ginger Bread (2.3 android Update). So in nutshell there is no defect in any of its features(hardware or software) it is simply awesome phone to have.

phone is excellent, beautiful interface, htc sense works good, Andriod is the best OS fast user friendly,
But battery life for htc desire hd is not so good , htc must have given 1500mh battery

I was wondering if formatting the battery on the HTC desire really helps the battery life of them phone. Because i really do like the phone alot and am thinking about getting me one within a few months but since i read alot about its battery life im debating. Another thing is the new HTC thunderbolt will be releasing strictly for verizon only? or other carriers as well.

my dhd is self rebooting and its not registering the sd card as of this morning. message displayed is sd mounted readonly the SD card has an unexpected problem.
guys anyone out having the same problem
