what are you guys doing comparing this device to the monsterous SGS!?? what's it got that SGS doesn't? a flash to the camera?
come on it's got 1.5 GB internal storage, no secondary camera, bulky and too heavy, and it really looks ugly! SGS is without doubt the best device in the world today!

I guess there is no front face camera, or is it possible thats it is just inactive? Can the original 8mp camera be used for video calls? I understand i cant see the one im talking to, and the mic is on the wrong side. But i really would like my kids to see me when im away on business trips. Regards Beachboy72

Can anyone plz tell which is be... moreDesire HD definitely outperforms Desire, if you don't mind the size of the phone being a little on the bulkier side. However, the battery is a disaster. It barely last one day, which may be quite a problem for a lot of people.

Can anyone tell me whether or not the ringtones are loud?
I suffer with Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and need ringtones to be loud, so that when the phone is in my pocket, I can easily hear it. As far as I can see, this is the only thing that would stop me getting one of these phones.

I'm using a gel case and it has a cut out for the speaker which is sort of bevelled it makes it sound a bit louder, on my HTC Hero the speaker was very loud but if I took off the back cover it would be very quite I think the gel case acts in a similar way as the back cover on the Hero.

Cos the reason i am not taken this cos of the speakers ( they r very important tome )..
So based on your advise, i might change my mind also, if you have any steps to make it loud, i am listening.
