The battery isn't that bad at all for a phone like this. My DHD is now a week old and the battery last at this moment one and a half day (regular use), at normal use it would be longer: let's say 2 days. Actually the battery has not yet getting his full capacity (this is getting after a few re-chargings/few weeks). So it is possible the battery holds for longer when this is done.

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is better than this phone. Its Super Amoled capacitive screen kicks this phone out. ARM processor is also way better compares to Snapdragon. Although they have the same clockspeed, hummingbird still does the superb performance. this phone's RAM is only one of its advantage comparing to SGS' which is just 512. As a matter of fact, HTC put more RAM on this device to compensate the poor processor. That's it! now you know... think twice before you grab a phone.

Reading comments isn't fun anymore because there seems to be a lot of kids and ignorant people who somehow manage to get access to computers and leave senseless comments on these pages....
There's a basic fact in life: life is a series of trade-offs. Being conscious of this would make your life easier and less stressful. This means you have to have your priorities and make your choices.
Samsung here and ther, Iphone here and there, HTC here and there.... these are really annoying.
Know what you want from a phone; read the specs and if you don't like it get a different phone that has those specs you can't absolutely live without: front camera, brighter screen, better camera...etc.
not a single phone can satisfy every customer out there so it's up to you to know what you want and make your choice along that line.

Gartner Inc. predicts Andr(av)oid will surge to 14% of the global smartphone market in 2012 ahead of the iPhone, as well as Windows Mobile and BlackBerry smartphones.
In 2012 market will be

Database giant Oracle has launched a legal action against Google, alleging that the company infringes seven patents it owns related to Java.
Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google, was formerly a chief technical officer for Sun Microsystems. Sun Microsystems was bought by Oracle.
The move is interesting because when Sun Microsystems was a separate entity it promoted Java as an open source option.
Google never formally took out a licence from Sun Microsystems, while Java is widely used in a large number of applications created by other vendors. The law suit will cause other manufacturers to wonder whether Oracle will start a patent hunt against them.
The move prompted the Wall Street Journal to remind its readers that Larry Ellison, the CEO of Oracle, is a friend of Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple.
Apple considers Android to be a considerable threat to the iPhone and the Google OS continues to grow its market share as an OS for smartphones.
Java deal between IBM and Oracle is threatening to damage the Android
