Desire HD will be very heavy indeed with such a huge battery. But at least I can leave the charger at home . . . I wonder if the 7in tablet from Samsung is not more suited if I have to carry a 200gram + device. Definitely not your 'Johny Bravo' cellphone.

All HTC DHD owners. I have a very good news for you about the battery.
I just contacted ( Mugen=power batteries company )and after asking them , they informed the following :
( the HD battery is under processing at the moment,
will release on the end of Nov, the model no is HLI-DESIREZSL/XL. it should be over 3000mAh for the big one )--Seems there will be 2 types of battery capacity....coooooooooooool
This 3000mah will require an extra back-cover.
This Company is Excellent & trust-able. i bought from them :2400mah for my N900 & 3400mah for my brother's Galaxy S. i advise you to check their site & again, you will not regret buying from them.

This 'device' is more like a small tablet and less a cell phone ! I like it a lot. The only issue is the HUGE size. Is not practical to carry in a belt pouch like a normal cell. The best and most protective way is to have a small carry bag for it. Looks neat. It can be used as a cell phone and is not as big and heavy as the 7in samsung cell phone.

SAMOLED is certainly attractive but way too saturated! sometimes colors looks awkward in it! and on top of all that.. phone is not responsive compared even to the nexus one! its lags in certain areas.. Samsung after sales service is another big shit! HTC Desire HD is the best phone in the market as of now. SLCD is simply superb in that gorgeous big screen.

-Charge it the first 3 a' 4 times complete, let it run out completely (0%) before you recharge it again.
-After these times you can charge the battery whenever you want.
-Repeat once every month: run out the battery complete to 0%, when you do this the accu % status will be calibrated to avoiding differences in the % status of your phone.

Also DHD is more stable than the SGS. Metal body better than cheap plastic. Camera is better too.
Both phones have got same capacitive screen...

The battery isn't that bad at all for a phone like this. My DHD is now a week old and the battery last at this moment one and a half day (regular use), at normal use it would be longer: let's say 2 days. Actually the battery has not yet getting his full capacity (this is getting after a few re-chargings/few weeks). So it is possible the battery holds for longer when this is done.
