Anonymous, 17 Oct 2010DLNA now support videos in HD noob What year are you? 1995? OMGI don't want DLNA, most Plasmas and LCD TVs doesn't support DLNA but ALL has HDMI

heck, it's name "Desire HD" and no HDMI port!!

and doesn't have secondary camera for video calling as per todays standards? big mistakes by HTC.

              [deleted post]Hi Marina.
I have owned the Apple 3g, 3gs and Iphone4 put against the HTC HD2, Desire and my present Gallaxy i9000. I would say that I can't wait for the desire hd.
Reasons: iphones are very well built, have style, no internal memory restrictions, apps are more reliable and in all very user friendly, I would have an Iphone now if it had a 4.3 display, I do not like squinting and fumbling about on tiny screens, the HD2 win 6.5 say's it all (not upgradable) Gallaxy feels light and plasticy, colours unreal but great spec. desire was good but want the larger screen and all the latest goodies.
              indigo.

To anyone who did not notice this: it is a new Snapdragon, more energy efficient, with more cache and 3 times faster GPU - Adreno 205. The CPU only should last the same like the old Snapdragon with 1500mAh battery.

CNET ( http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/mobilephones/0,39051199,45305089p,00.htm ) just published a review on Desire HD. Not surprisingly, the 1230mAh battery lasted less than 15 hours ! What is the point of Desire HD's fancy spec but inadequate battery to power the phone ???!!! How could the in-charge engineer finalize on a 1230mAh battery for a 4.3" screen phone ???? HTC needs engineer with better judgment.

Do email HTC http://www.htc.com/www/about_htc_bymail.aspx to voice your need for a minimum 1500mAh battery for Desire HD.

Yeah, and NO HDMI ! ! ! Only the old DLNA standard which can only transmit the screen picture/resolution to the tv ! OMG The old N95 had that. Actually most nokia cells still have Dlna . Nokia is one of the founders of DLNA but they have upgraded to what they call 'UPnP'. Only recently (S3 OS) Nokia decided to go for the real thing (DLNA).

No voice command option. so no bluethooth voice dialing. would you have to use an app to get voice dialing via bluetooth hands free car kit.

Only now I see. This phone does not have HDMI ! ! ! One will have to resort to DLNA interface quality to send videos to a display/tv. What a f-up. Nokia's N8 looks more and more attractive :-)

That is marketing hype more then anything als. Sorryericsson is a dying company. 3 quarter results are just in and they did not reach the envisaged target once again ! They only managed to sell 10million handsets for the ENTIRE quarter ! ! ! They have become a insignificant role player by now. Alcatel managed to sell more :-) Their market share is well below 3% now. The camera sensor has lots of megapixels but is the size of a peanut. And very very expensive/overpriced - usual thing with all Sony products nowadays.
