              Let's be faire. The old Snapdragon + the power hungry Android and a weak battery = you have to carry the charger with you where ever you go :-(

                Now that HTC HD has a choice of OS, which is a better OS for social application plus general browsing the net. Android or WM? I`m on You tube and Facebook a lot. Found both these with WM 6.5 on Omnia 2 really poor, hangs alot!

                Now intend to upgrade to HTC HD. WM7 or Android 2.2 perform better for social

                      Anonymous, 14 Oct 2010mighty N8? you mean N8 for No No No No No No No Never? y... moreApologies to pull you up on your post but your comparisons seem a tad bias and misleading, if you are going to compare you need to be fair:

                      The N8 comes with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound so the comparison to the Desires HD Dolby Mobile & SRS is about equal.
                      It has 16GB storage space built-in which combined with a 32GB can have upto 48GB.
                      The ARM Cortex Processor is backed up by a Graphics Accelerator which should be fine for the N8.
                      It has an TV-Out and HDMI port though the HD does have DLNA, not sure if N8 has that though.
                      The camera will probably be the best we've seen on the current market.

                      If you're going to be answering a question at least make a fair comparison for them.

                      Both phones in their own right are very good, for me personally I'd go for the Desire HD as I'm sticking with the Android OS (and my current HTC Desire) for now but it comes down to whats more important to the user, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

                              you know, bluetooth often used for simple data transmitting like wireless handsfree. but if you want to compare Desire HD with "The all mighty N8", you'll find nothing from "The all mighty N8" that can beat HD.

                              let say:
                              - 480 x 800 pixels, 4.3 inches against N8 360 x 640 pixels, 3.5 inches
                              - Dolby Mobile and SRS sound enhancement against nothing to N8
                              - 1.5 GB Rom; 768 MB RAM against N8 256MB RAM, 512 MB ROM
                              - Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8255 1 GHz processor against N8 ARM 11 680 MHz processor

                              This is a great monster. and you only thinking about bluetooth 3.0? Fm Transmitter? are you gonna make a broadcasting station or something?

The only equivalent right now is the Evo 4G in the US, but I think this one might have a better chip(?) Don't quote me on that but I think the SnapDragon in this is more advanced.
