To everyone comnplaiing about the 1230mAh battery: This phone contains the 2nd generation of Snapdragon processor which is much more energy efficient. The battery life should be very similiar to the Desire.

No function for secondary camera/ video call.. its a basic function that every phone should have.. hope HTC will put this function video call on their next phone model..

Anyone know if the HTC Desire HD is coming to Canada? I've heard of people saying it doesn't work in Canada, but word just came out yesterday that the Desire Z is coming to Bell in November. Any word on the HD?

Does this phone play Divx files and is it built with scratch resistant glass? Given its massive screen you've a good chance of bumping it.
Does anyone know whether it video records in 720p@30fps?
Not a problem if it doesnt as i believe that a firmware update will give this phone 30fps and Divx anyway.

I use skype with video every day on my pc (skype on mobiles will support soon video-call and I'm so excited for it), also fring on mobiles has video-calling - theese apps are used a lot worldwide, if you don't know/use then don't say bullshits.
In conclusion - a video call camera is a very nice thing, shame that this phone and other don't have!

In response to the absence of video call cameras. Frankly, the technology is dying a death as so few use it. It is clunky and awkward. It is also inconvenient (getting caught on the bog or being somewhere you're not supposed to be) - these things put people off of it. Therefore, you can have more POW for your pounds if you just take it out, it's a drain on the phone spec and rather unnecessary. Sony Ericsson realised this, and as the sales prove, no one has missed it... at all... in fact, people quizzed why Apple even bothered adding one in the iPhone 4...

True with 1230 mAh battery ,owners need to keep charger in pocket.
HTC did it purposely to make us purchase their extended batteries.
HTC =money Sucker.
