I did just a basic rooting(SuperUser and Memory Swap).The OS is still stock.So any issue that pop up in the Non-rooted will still pop in mine.

Again warning:it will void your warranty
And i dont think rooting will solve the restarting problem.May be a Custom ROM can.
Anyway its all upto you.
And about the restarting problem, i think its some-kinda OS conflict on running dual-sim.

The worst phone ever!I have been using this phone from Jan 2013 and it has crashed upto several times and frequently shuts down and restarts. At first I thought it was some of the apps that caused it so I decided not to download any apps after the last factory reset. But still its crashed. Another lacking part is front camera and internal phone memory is very low..cos of which we can not add HD games or more applications and cant move apps to sd card , its a big minus . Eventually it developed a charging problem where it does not charge at all. whenever I connect the charger the charging light keeps blinking endlessly. So now the phone does not power on at all. There is only one plus point and that its Beat Sound which is superb, but to spend that much bucks to get only one plus and lots of minus is not a good choice. I would never go for HTC again and would not recommend anyone else.

You have to restore factory settings, and Android needs to restart from the beginning, all the installed apps will be lost and one more advice, please don't use the bluetooth button, it'll be hell of problems

After a year of total usage, i say that i had one of the worst experiences with this mobile and using Dual Sim is a problem, But since you have rooted, i hope you should not have any issue.
Moreover could you please let me know how to root this mobile, your suggestion will be highly helpful!!!!

All people having Frequent Reboot Issue,are you guys using Dual Sim or Single or did the problem pop up after adding the second sim?
Coz I have been using it for the last 7 months(in single sim) and not a single issue,but planning to put in another sim.
Since I am rooted and so no warranty,I do not want to take chances.

Rebooting problem after 5 months. Hard reset not solving the problem. Disabled SIM2 and it was OK. Now I have put cardboard paper under battery to tighten it. Re-Enabled SIM 2, no problem so far.

Htc desire sv is hell of problem.. i am facing the switch off problem since 2months of buying it.. i hv went service center for repair bit it works for 2more months again the same prob.. if they r not able rectify the problem and solve the issue why they into market.. we should file a complaint to consumer court and sue them.. can anybody suggest regarding this..

But still it crashed the forth time. eventually it developed a charging problem where it does not charge at all. whenever I connect the charger the charging light keeps blinkig endlessly. So now the phone does not power on at all. Does anybody experience similar problem/s with this phone and how did you resolve it. I need just to power the phone and get my stuff out then am done with HTC. Pls I NEED HELP!!!

am using this htc desire sv for about 7 months,facing lotz and lotz of problem like rebooting,charging,blank screen,hanging so on and so forth...i ever faced a problem like thiz before....tired of going to service centre......pakka hectic phone so don go for it.....

akki , 05 Nov 2013Hi guys , i am using it for an year since it got launched ... moreYou can easily move ur apps to SD card........just go to settings---> apps---> click on any app that u wanna move----->move to phone storage---->SIMPLY DONE
and even if u dont wanna follow this procedure...just install "app to sd" ...appication from android market...thanx
