why do you say its loose, when its not. When the desire z is closed it is really closed, it doesnt go anywhere.
Chief, go and program your java, its all android users are allowed to do. We r on a closed system that requires hacks (rooting) to give a little freedom. We android users are no better than iPhone users, we are being screwed in our behinds with limitations and ads (or pay like gayPhone users do). And N900 is not a better phone, just it has a superior OS. If it was so good a fone i wouldnt have the desire z. Battery life, thickness, resistive screen, extremely bad and slow maps/nav, its pretty hard to live with when its almost 2011. Nokia has made the best unit but they didnt follow up to strengthen the important framework around it. Nokia wasted their time and resources on the symbian crap instead of the only good OS to ever hit a handheld.

The HINGE ISSUE is not a problem, for me and I think for any realistic user. It's looose but it will give you the Joy of pop open the keboard only with a flick, with almost no pressure!

I know these kinda bois, they love to help friends with PC problems, unfortunately the solution is ALWAYS cccleaner and format/reinstall windows. Because they juz talk and talk, no time to realize that the more we learn the more we realize how little we know. Unconstructive self appointed gurus.

Chief, 15 Dec 2010i use terminal emulator and yes im that nerd that root s-of... moreHey man, Android can never be full linux as it uses dalvik machine, while N900 uses standard Debian binaries for ARM architecture. Root all you like, but you will not get close. Try to connect a DVD or mouse to your rooted android, and then keep in mind that N900 does this and does not have USBOTG, but it still works!
get ur facts straight before posting bois, its obvious you have no idea what N900 is. Its nothing to argue about, N900 is a mean machine, its unique, there is nothing else like it. Android is pretty hefty also but for a nerd it doesnt reach N900 to the knees.

I also decided to take one of those quizzes. It worked as well.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2010is there error in chating on full fb page?????I just gave it a try. Unfortunately the only friends online were away, so I could only do some limited testing.
What I did was just try to type a message to a friend. The chat window appears, but it isn't at the bottom of the page. It appeared at the bottom of the screen when I initiated the chat. The list of friends online is shown on the left below the application list. It is only part way down the page as the status update section is much longer. I was able to type a message and it appears normally. I did not get any response as the person was online, but away. That is the extent of what I did on the full FB site for the chat.

Naren, 16 Dec 2010I have seen a lot of youtube videos on this and realized th... moreThere is no problem with the hinge. The spring is loose on purpose so that the keyboard opens and closes easily. If you hold the phone normally, the keyboard will not accidentally open. There is absolutely no need to fix the hinge to make it tighter.

I have seen a lot of youtube videos on this and realized that the only problem this phone has is the loose hinge problem. I had liked this phone a lot but unfortunately it has this problem which to me is a serious problem. Does anybody know if HTC is working on it? cause otherwise in my opinion it's probably is the most complete phone for my use.
