This phone sucks the camera is bad you can't download any apps it's 90 mb

AnonD-113985, 06 Apr 2013No,it won't play, you have to play yourself.Kk..frm ur pnt of view rooting solves the prblm..bt what abt that prblm which arises during rooting...its voids the warranty..what a new user in android do if he/she bricks his/her phn while rooting.

Spend a little more and get something dece... moreRoot it and finish your problems,don't cry over again, explorer was not released few days back,it was released when all manufacturer's like samsung,Sony had same scheme of things where phone by default had less than 200mb onboard, so please don't compare with todays phones,also htc explorer is far better than the brick you are using now far better than samsung 1 GHz dual cores..

usman rana, 05 Apr 2013its support adobe flash player and whatsapp???NO MAN, you cannot install anything, no flash, no whatsapp, it won't even be able to save contacts ,its just like a brick,you cannot install anything,

€ the processor speed is very slow. only 600mhz !!! it becomes slow wnen you install 8/9 apps & games.
€ no front camera means you cant do video chat in skype or over 3G network.
€ too much low internal memory !!! i installed AVAST ANTIVURUS , OPERA MINI , FACEBOOK MESSANGER , ES FILE EXPLORER , BLUETOOTH FILE MANAGER , TALKING TOM CAT 2 , TALKING GINGER , CASTLE OF SHADOWS 2 , SKETCH & DRAW PAD. and i couldnt put these in phone !! now i have only 21mb free memory !!! this is very bad.
this phone has some advantages too. such as :
€ camera is good
€ video camera is good
€ light weight
€ great casing
€ has SRS ENHANCEMENT. that means great audio quality
€ has gps and map. they works fone.
€ great touch screen
€ fast inrernet speed
so, i can recommend you this phone if u want multimedia and internet browsing. but not for gaming. so what ? dont you have a computer ? u can play greatest games in computer. just download apps i wrote abobe and thats all. u dont need more apps. if u want an allrounder mobile, get samsung galaxy s2 or better.

Whenever I press the power/lock button
to lock the phone, the screen flashes
twice, then instead of going black and
locking, it turns back on but this time
displays the lock screen

It's a great set. Using for around 1 year. Good clean and loud speaker, good screen, premium touch responsiveness, and very small and light.
Great gaming set. Playing subway surfers, temple run 2, shadow gun, dead trigger, Hero of Sparta, Dungeon hunter, NFS shift, Rayman junglerun etc games- super smooth. I must mention that most of the above mentioned games are graphically intensive games that lag on some high end devices also. Don't know how this small chick manages them without least stutting.
But now guys, planning to go for Samsung galaxy S Advance. Flipkart is offering this high end model at shocking rs.14500 only. Before 3 months its price was rs.19000. Go for this if you afford. You cant get such great phone even for rs 20000 in future.

It's very easy process
Go to HTC website for unlocking bootloader (rooting):
http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader
Choose ''All other supported devices'' and click Begin Unlock Bootloader.
Follow the steps (you will have to register).
Basicaly, you have to connect phone with USB and follow the steps to send your data to HTC, and they send you unlock code to your e-mail. After you do that, your phone is unlocked and you can have administrator tools. Also, you can install custom ROM-s.

Search on this forum how to install ROM, it's very easy process. You go to Recovery menu at bootloader, wipe all data and just instal ZIP from SD card. There are some tutorials on the forum on the link above.

I rooted my explorer. works great with android 4.0.3 from HTC desire c which has same hardware as explorer, only had to increase storage from sd card. overclocked CPU to 800 but no worries, it works on 480 MHz most of the time, increases to 600 sometimes, and almost never to 800. no heating.. its safe.

Best Smart phone for gaming in mid-range temple run 2 run smothy and sound in headphone is best with Srs sound tochscreen is best internal memory is proble but u can solve it after rooting u r phone but it is the best fone in mid-rang

Rooting is simply analogous to creating an administrator in windows, Creating 'administrator' will not cause overclocking, heating or hanging of PC rite,same way rooting wont cause any, its just installing a superuser SU on system ROM,this might help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415223
Also if u play with drivers,bootfiles,BIOS settings, install new OS improperly, it can cause "temporary" failure in PC rite, same way installing ROMs,patches, kernels etc may cause problems like bricking, bootloops etc. (of course if u do properly nothing bad will happen)
