Hi all,

i sent my phone for repairs to Dubai due to broken screen, phone came back with wireless and bluetooth no longer working. When i press the hardware button(with a Lil force) it affects the touchscreen like i actually touched the screen.

Don't know when i will be able to send it back, just wanna know if there is something i can do(a self fix or something).

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks..Anthony?

      run HSPL3 on your PC And follow the on screen instructions.
      when that is done put the CostomRUU file in the same folder as the radio file and run the customRUU with the phone still connected in sync mode.
      then follow the on screen instructions.

            I was tripping... I don't have to send my phone back.... The headphone jack is there..... I picked up some old headphones instead of my Bose headphones to plug in.... The other headphones must've been a small size, because the Bose fit perfect..... As I said I was tripping that night..... I had money on my mind$$$$$$ All good now.....

              Did you try what I told you? Did you get your phone working correctly again?
              A next friend of mine just had the same thing happen to him yesterday. When I talked to him today, he told me the tip worked and his phone is working correctly once again today. He took his phone out of his work jumper top pocket. And saw it Stock in car kit mode.
              It’s like the HD2 has something against the working class pocket. :)

There is none. HD2 is by far the Best WinMo phone on the market. To get a good match you would have to go over to Android and try the Desire HD but looking at how thin that is and its CPU & RAM you may run into the same heat problem. I know you don’t want to hear this but you can’t have a hi-speed CPU in a thin body and have it say cool in a hot environment. Try what I told you with your HD2 or you just going to have to downgrade to a slower phone.
                Or maybe the milestone 2 when it comes out will do the trick. the CPU should not be as cramped for space in a slide out QWERTY phone.

                    It’s not slow because of its CPU, its Slow because it is running Android 1.6.
                    Android OS has reach 2.2 now, why would you buy a phone running 1.6?

                      roudy, 28 Sep 2010hey Anthony, please read it i have this mobile for two mo... moreI live in the Caribbean so I know about the heat problem I have gotten it a few times when the phone was in the car kit being used and charging at the same time.

                      I normally tell people to buy a gel case but as you live in a very hot place, you going to have to take the phone out of any case you may have it in. the metal battery cover needs to get air over it so it can disperse of the heat from the CPU.
                      Don’t leave the phone face down in direct sunlight because that will only get the metal cover hotter and it will be no good as a heat sync for the CPU.
                      Make sure the 2 metal balls on the phone body and its matching contacts on the battery cover are clean at all times so there can be proper conduction of heat away from the CPU to the battery cover.
                      Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you are not using them.
                      Don’t completely cover the portion of the phone beneath the battery cover with your hand when in a call, that area is where the internal antenna is and blocking it completely off will make the phone use more power to get a good signal, which will generate more heat.

                      If you do decide to change phones, stay away from any phone that has a fast CPU (anything over 500 MHz) and is in a thin body. That combination in a hot climate is a heat generator

                        hey Anthony, please read it
                        i have this mobile for two month and it is a very beatiful mobile, the touchscreen is very good also the screen and colors. and winmo is very nice with apps like pocketshield and others. But the only big big big problemis that i am in a hot country and it seems not to support hot: it shut when every moment i use, when i am in a call or when i use it even in a light use like changing the volume and camera use......
                        i'm thinking now to change it if this problem stills. i am thinking about buying a xperia x10 or lg bl 40 or sth else. so please tell me if you know how to fix this problem, and if will not be fixed what is the cell phone that i won't feel the difference?

Does Radiation is related to con... moreCome to think about it, once you are in any area that you can get a cell signal or over the air Radio/TV signal you are being hit by some % of radiation. So how paranoid do you really want to get about it? Chances are if crime or an accident doesn’t take you first. The chemicals in the food you eat will kill you long before the radiation from your E72.

                              So if you live under the cell tower or a high voltage power line. You where slow cooking long before you got the E72.

                                    Or….. just stay away from cell phones and I hope you don’t eat food that went in a microwave, or go next to/watch a tube TV, or come in close proximity to any wireless equipment. Because they will kill you just as fast or faster.

                                      Jack, 28 Sep 2010HI Anthony I have the same Radio and firmware version that... moreI have done so many modifications to my ROM, it is hard to say what are all the performance improvements I have gotten because of the new radio. Besides I only just started using it this week not even a full 2 days yet.
                                      I can say blue tooth stereo streaming has improved. (Not one break/pause in my music in over 2 hours of continual music playing) And based on how I use my phone I have gotten some improvement in the battery consummation. (Nothing grand, will still have to charge on the drive to work every day.) As for the stability…. it has not degraded but I can’t say if it has improved, only because I was not having stability problems before.

                                      Yes you have to install HSPL3 to get rid of the default SPL. (don’t want to take the chance that you brick your phone)
                                      And you will also need a CustomRUU to install the radio without a full ROM. seeing that you want to keep your 1.66ROM

                                        Hi to all .........

                                        Can anybody pls suggest me, does HTC HD2 got Radiation ( may b high or low ) ? cos B4 i was using NOKIA E72 and was totally uncomfertable with that handset , like xievier headach , uneasy feeling , irritation & so on , ultimatly not at all confertness whenever i use ........... so B4 to go for this hand set would like to know in begining ........ so kindly any of user pls feel free n suggest for my quiry .......... thnx ............
