Anthony, 11 Mar 2010It will not connect to wmdc because you are not in windows.... moreI figured out about incomplete download. Looks like its browser thing. I am downloading again with IE...looks like this time i get full download. Its half way.
I turned off phone and plugged to wall charger but there's no green or orange light. I do not know its charging or not. Once i plugged to wall charger ...my screen turns automatically and displays those 4 color bands. As for copying older rom to my sd card...i have no idea. Its only one month old hd2..I have not done anything to sd card besides installing some programs.

Power off the phone keep it off. Don’t try to charge from PC. you need to use a wall charger. With the phone off and plugged into the wall you should see the orange light come on.

Restart your PC just to be safe.
Put the phone in the same mode where you saw the word serial.
Hook the phone to the PC… the word “serial” should change to “USB”
Once that happens run the ROM from the PC.
If this method does not work let me know. There is a next way we can try.
By the way, did you copy any part of the old ROM to your micro SD card?

Syrus, 11 Mar 2010Anthony I did vol & end key things, now I got the same ... moreOk. Keep your phone off but plugged in to the wall. You don't want it to have a dead battery when you have what you need to fix it.
If you get the ROM let me know. if not, when I get home tonight I will post a link to a free download manager. (I think we have a 12 hour time difference, so I should be home by 10am your time.)

Basicaly HD2 is a great phone, but the problem i'm eventualy facing is the Battery life,the HTC Should have considered the HD2 display Effects with the battery efficiency.what i'm requesting meanwhile is to have a way that may increase my HD2 battery efficiency.regards.

pr... moreAnthony I did vol & end key things, now I got the same 4 color band with 2 more new messages. First message is in Green band, it says "upgrade rom code error.... Pls try again"
Second message is in white band it says "Serial". I think i got what you said. Wat next?? About ROM i went to my fren's house and downloaded but same thing....not complete ROM. So i requested one friend who live in singapore to download for me. I have not got it yet.

see if you see the word "serial" or "USB" come up in the white band this time.
did you get the full ROM as yet? (190mb)

Hey Guys,
I bought dis fone couples= of weeks ago. Da fone is rockin in my opinion it will give tough time to iphone 3GS. As far is functionality and features is concern they are quite exceptional specially i like da digital compass. Voice quality is good but it does drop sometime. Overall dis fone has all da latest features :)

The battery life of my HD2 is not so bad. If I only use it for ordinary calling out or recieving the incoming call related to my everyday life/business (less than 2 hours in total per day), it is probably 2 days or more than 2 days (2 days and a half). But at the weekend, I use it alots for playing movies/music, surfing the internet, etc.; it is probably 1 day long.
Currently, I don't use the 3G SIM. I only use the 2G one offered by Mobitel. Previously, I used the Touch Pro, but I then transfered it to my wife.
I don't know why the Skypeware has not been shown up in the internet as the big dealer/sale rep. for the HTC smart phone products in Cambodia. I agree to your realization of only the retailers mentioned are being advertised on the internet.
Now, I have successfully upgraded my old rom to the 1.66 one; and again BIG Thanks to Anthony for his hands!

2) There is no writing on white band....No word called usb also.
3) Here is the writing on "Red Band" (top most band...out of 4 band). It writes following:
HK-BC
SPL-1.42.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
Thats all text I have on my screen. Hope you have some tricks under your sleeve. Thanks

Hey Anthony - I had set a phone lock password in my HD2. I typed a wrong password ( to test ). I found that it displays - Incorrect password attempt 1/10.
My question - What happens if someone tries 10 incorrect passwords ? Will I have to flash my ROM ..etc.. Is there a way to remove the "10 attempts" and make it unlimited ?

Akademist101, 10 Mar 2010no theres nothing wrong. when its in the form of a cab file... moreOk you don’t know what Im talking about because it looks like you where not following from the beginning
1. The ROM is 190mb as an exe not cab.
2. He has a ROM 15mb (no ROM could be that small.) compressed or not.
3. The .nbh file in that exe if you where to extract it is 267mb not 15mb
4. I know this because extracting the .nbh is a next why to flash a Rom that I have done as well.
