if your phone was never english, the only way to get it to be english is to replace your ROMs with an english version.

can't say the same for the display below the glass.
jumped off the bed, stepped right on the phone. not a thing happened to the glass but the display got a pressure point crack. luck for me HTC replaced it for free. as for scratches, lol the battery cover coating is going to get F'ed up long before the glass could get It's first micro scratch. invest in a silicon case. they are thin but protect against shock damage to the display and dents to the body of the phone. the glass is the least of your worries.

thanks so much for answering. but there are... moreas i said before I'm not a big user of Android. It's useful for watching streaming so i use it for that, then i go back to windows. so i a really can't say which version of android is best.
i know i found AmicanDrod to run fast from the SD. but it does not have the sence UI.
your guess of which one is best is as good as mine.

thanks so much for answering. but there are too many roms in the link u suggested. which one you find it best? I try to go for Android 4.0 ICS, does it support tethering & hotspot funciton??
the current version I am using has a focusing problem for the camera function. picture is no longer as sharp as compare to WM6.5, especially taking pictures of document with fine prints.

I think the phonw is fairly ok but i recently have a major issue i never had before and really dont want to download what wont work - i use to be able to check my bank bal. now i am getting a java error msg and there seems to be no update re the java issue - can anybody tell me what browser to get for the HD2? the gps is not accurate either but maybe when i start using it with a phone co. that may be corr. I tried getting an E dictionary as well but cant get any but Sun Mobile which seems to be for a 5 year old - its best they build on this app - i think Wordweb is the best but they dont have any for HD2.

You didn't say what kind of Android you are running so I will assume it is NAND

and leave 10% of your inte... moreI have been using HD2 for nearly 2 years and replaced with android recently. love it so much and really feel it like a king in smartphone OS. but it hangs a lot even to 2-3 times a day on certain instance. everytime need hard reset and take a lot of time to redo setup.. very frustrated.
any advice how to remedy the problem.
I am using android 2.3.5, internal memory is 106MB out of 214MB. having a SD card of 16G with 1G/15G partition. only about 4G available on the micro SD. i load all my working files in SD card.
Not sure if I use it too heavily that cause such problem???

really need help? i've install android on hd2 for quite sometime. but all this while it hangs a lot, sometimes it happens 3 times a day. everytime it hangs I need to perform hard reset which means all data wipe out. it takes time to redo setup....&%*#%$?
fyi,the android version is 2.3.5, available internal memory is 106MB out of 214MB, SD card is partioned to 1G/15G(it's a 16G micro SD).
Radio version = 15.42.50.11u_2.15.50.14
Build number = MIUI-NDT Development V24.2SE (by langthang)
Some advise me to update the rom. but doesn't know how to do it..(i got mine replaced by android through someone else)
another problem is after using android, the camera resolution no longer as sharp as before when still using WM6.5

I have been using HD2 for slightly less then 2 years. Until recently, I upgraded to MIUI android which gives me a lot trouble. the phone need to be hardreset for many instances. sometime it can happen a few times in a day. of course, with the hard reset means I have to setup everything and can take up to 10 to 15 minutes. very frustrated with this situation. but seeing new phones in the market, even samsung galaxy note doesn't have such a solid body as the HD2.
I decided to keep this phone as a spare until its really outdated. but need to solve the hanging problems.
the android version that I'm using is 2.3.5. so far still have 103MB available in my internal memory. I am using a 16G SD card with 1G/15G partition. I still have 4.26G available in my SD card.
I have all my working documents on it for the ease of viewing and simple editing.
Am I loading the device too much and give me the hang problem.
some advise me to upgrade the rom. but where to read rom version??
