High Tech, 15 Dec 2009Just updated ROM. Everything seems ok, but I cannot get the... moreI added a nearby location (kansas city) and it seems to be updating, but my location (lee summit) is not updating. Lee Summit is a suburb of Kansas City. The old ROM worked fine. Maybe its something I'm doing wrong. The old ROM just updated everything for me when I first setup the phone.

    Just updated ROM. Everything seems ok, but I cannot get the weather app to work. I do not have the internet on my phone, but the weather app was working when I sync using Windows Mobile sync on my laptop. It worked the first time (showed my location), but when I removed the usb and re-sync it just shows the words "My Location" and not my actual location (city). When it tries to update it says "connection error attempting to download weather data. Retry?". Any know why thats happening????????? The weather app worked in the old ROM.

        and for doing online banking that is normaly blocked because of java scrip.

But are you confir... morei am saying i have the phone and the rotate only works in ie, oprea UI music player and UI Picture Viewer (out of the box). all the rest can do it but HTC blocked it. that is why you have to use the 3rd party software to unblock it.

                        so just Google it. and when you reach the download link pick if you have the 32bit or 64bit Vista.
                        if after it is installed on your pc you have your phone in sync mode and it is not seeing it. you will have to turn off fast sync on the phone.

                          Alpha, 14 Dec 2009hi there good HD2 owners. i bought an htc HD2 but the most... moreyour time sync is wrong.
                          it can be wrong one of 2 pleases.

                          1. if you are not using "my location" for your active clock and you picked your city manually, the city you have active on the main clock is using the wrong GMT for where you are.

                          2. the GMT your sell provider is using is wrong. (beleave it or not this does happen. I know this because I have sims from 2 different providers in my phone and was having that problem)
                          the fix is to turn off there auto updating.

                          go to "settings"
                          pick "wireless controls"
                          pick the words "change phone settings"
                          pick "menu"
                          pick "network selection"
                          pick "GSM/UMTS service"
                          pick "time synchronization"
                          with it selected tap "get settings" and uncheck it. "ok" everything
                          and send someone a text and ask them to reply so you can test it.

                            we now know that the new english ROM that I have been using some time now is now available for download from the htc uk site. backup your phone with "pim backup" to your memory card or "my phone" to the web. better yet do them both :-)
                            then go get the updated rom maybe that is why I was not having the problem.

                                Found a nice desk stand for my HD2. It looks very nice and you have access to all buttons. It's made out of Alumi. The site is an iphone site, but the stand works with any phone. Here's the link:

                                    hi there good HD2 owners.
                                    i bought an htc HD2 but the most annoying thing is that my device is giving me completly false time over my recieved SMS messages and that leads the device to arrange my messages wrong.
                                    any advice??? :(

                                      Finally able to download ROM update (UK Version). Before I update. Is there any real changes with this ROM?? Like faster, better music player, etc????

                                      If anyone has updated device with this ROM, please post changes????
