          If you have not installed ".net 3.5" on your phone as yet, you should do that.

          The programs list I’m going give you later will need that for them to work.
          Any one that has this phone should install .net 3.5 use the .msi version not the .exe version
          (It has to be installed on your PC with your phone hooked to it in sync mode.)

            It is not the amount of songs you have
            I loaded over 600 songs this morning and have had the player in the UI playing it for the last 7 hours and I have not cashed as yet.
            So its down to tweaks, 3rd party software, ram, and rom,
            Lets start with 3rd party software.
            Uninstall Gyrator2, I know it to be problematic from way back when I was using the first HD.
            I will give you a link to a more stable one later.

              Download the English manual for the phone on the HTC UK web site.
              And use google translator for some of the words you can’t decipher.
              And if you look back on this site you will see where I gave the like to the new English rom that you will have to download and use to replace your French rom

              Don’t worry you will get it done
              Bogdan will help you and if he forgets something I will full in the blanks when I have time.

                Just tap the actual message in the window it self a menu will pop up with

                Forward
                Delete message
                Copy to sim
                Move to sim
                View message details.
                (the window i was talking about is the chat window for the sms not the UI preview window.)

                But as you said this way is very limited. You need to think bigger :-)
                Why not use the “my phone” app that came with the phone to backup
                ALL your
                Contacts
                Calendar
                Tasks
                Text messages
                Browser Favorites
                Photos
                Videos
                Music
                Documents
                That is kept on the phone memory
                To an online sever that you can use to restore any windows mobile cell phone with your info.
                You can even login to the site and view or edit your info right on the web page and have the change synced back to your phone.

                Or if you are paranoid and don’t want your info on the net you can install “pim backup”
                You can set schedules in it to back up your
                Appointments
                Call log
                Contacts
                Messages (msm, mms and e-mail)
                Speed dial
                Tasks
                And customs file, folders, and file types.
                To the memory card at a time you preset.

                This phone is still running windows mobile so you can still set signatures.
                Got to the e-mail tap
                Tap “Inbox”
                Tap “Menu”
                Scroll down and tap “Tools”
                Tap “Options”
                Tap “Signatures”
                And I think you can do the rest from there.

                              2 Questions:
                              1) How can I send the photos taken with the HD2 camera, via bluetooth?
                              2) Is it possible to install Engineering softwares like Matlab or Autocad on HD2? The 1GHz CPU is wonderfull!!!!

                                Hi there.

                                I had an HTC Touch Cruise earlier and have recently purchased an HD2. In the previous phone I could copy important SMS on the sim card. In case I had to hard reset the phone all SMS from the phonje would be lost, but I could always access / read the important sms on the sim card. This is not possible on HD2. Is there a way to copy these SMS - maybe a folder in the phone which I can simply copy before hard resetting the phone and copy it back afterwards?

                                Secondly, I could also create default signing off statements (Regards / etc) for emails as well as SMS on the previous phone. Is this possible on HD2?

                                    Very well-built phone. But if you are getting it because it is a large screen windows mobile device or pocketpc; for the purpose of running 3rd party installed pocketpc softwares, please note that this machine function without a stylus and software may not work. Perhaps it is not pressure-sensitive screen and is touchpad intended, i don't know. Please take note.

                                        Anthony, 14 Dec 2009changing sim will not help. the player in sense UI is not ... moreHi, in answer to your question i have installed gyrator2, coreplayer, myplayer, meonlite, glimpse, rummble, scrub, google mobile app, zoomer & shazam.
                                        My mp3s total 476 & are all correctly tagged, with art, 128-160 kbps. In fact the htc mucic player has been unable to handle my mp3s even before i added the progs listed above, hence i've been using the windows media player instead, tho its not my preferred choice.
