Okay, I've had the HD2 for a day now. I will reframe from saying this or any phone is great or best, because that means it can never topped. that said here's my first review:
Things I like so far:
1.) It's an HTC phone (more support, ROM's and updates, etc.). This is the main reason I purchased.
2.) Screen size 4.3 and Caps
3.) Phone looks real good. Nice form factor and two tone look.
4.) Movie viewing is nice (on big screen).
5.) Sence UI is nice (also like Spb Shell as well).
6.) OS is very fast and fluid.
7.) Feels good in the hand. Not too big.
8.) 65K colors is fine.
Things I don't like:
1.) Battery life not as good as some phones.
2.) Touch screen is real sensitive. Sometimes picks up the wrong letter, etc.
3.) Will not load movies in photo and video app.
4.) Camera sticks out in the back. Don't like to lay down on surface.
5.) Avi files play in windows media player not HTC player.
6.) Radio player didn't pickup all stations when scanned. Had to manually get some stations.
7.) Talking on call kinda a breaks up a little when listening to caller. Some phones have better speaker.
8.) Keeps trying to hookup to internet even though I don't have internet (Omnia 2 didn't do that. Keeps getting error message pops up.
In all the phone is a good phone. It meets my needs. I wouldn't say it's the best. It's one of the best phones on the market right now. The other good phone is the Omnia 2. Next year another phone will hit the market better than the HD2 and Omnia 2. That's the way of the world....
The HD2 is a busness phone first an entertainment phone second. The phone lives up to the hype. Also Windows mobile will alway be a business OS with comsumer features....... If this meets your NEEDS it's a must BUY......If not keep looking. I'll use the HD2 and Omnia 2 til at least 2012-2013. That's when WM7 and WM8 phones will be released....

So I am wondering, since this phone runs the windows platform, can it plug into a MAC computer and sync up or will it only plug into PCs?

Crash, 12 Nov 2009What happen to TV out...hmmm... its a good device with fast... moreWhat's better about the X2? The fact that it has TV out? Check the specs side by side, and you will see the HD2 is miles ahead of the X2. Except for only minor changes, the X2 is the same as the X1.....

What happen to TV out...hmmm... its a good device with fast CPU more ram - the rom is ok 512...
but for that price ill go with something better then this...like Acer neoTouch or Xperia2

akshat, 12 Nov 2009high tech, can u tell me the price of this phone please.... moreThe HD2 is going from $750 to $875. I've seen it as high as $1,050 but that site must be high on crack if they think someone will pay that much for this phone. It's good, but not worth that much.....

Hey check this site out for cases. They look GOOD. They have a case for HD1 but not HD2. Send them a email to make on for the HD2....

Some of you probably heard of this saying.
Nick is a Troll. He does not provide anything useful and therefore should be ignored by everybody.
Thanks to Anthony and Dexter people got to know about Windows Mobile what they didn't know.
They are smart enough to leave the board as long as trolls are running around.

welll u all have your opinions here is my experience, of all three blacberry i phone and htc htc has the overall best new interface and all in one make it yours kind of appeal, blacberry freezes , limited applications because of server, iphone works best with att all other companies suffer, pixel is the best on htc and new fluid touch interface is as fast as iphone i have tested an d tried curve 8900, bold 9000, iphone 3g and 3gs . hts tytn 11, htc touch, and finally htc hd of all i like the experience of having a mini laptop wherever i go with the htc hd it works for me

I can see from your comment that You are not a Savvy User. You are just one of those who use mobile phone for Show-OFF without knowing its functionalities.
I think for your interest & requirement...iphone suits the best.

NICK, 12 Nov 2009I do not understand why u sticking with htc & samsung when ... moreBoth HD2 and Omnia 2 are way better than the iphone in every way. That's beating a dead horse to death on that issue. Both have better specs by far than the iphone. The iphone is just a fade. It came out at the right time with the right provider (ATT to advertise). Nick, if you look at specs of the three phones, you will see both are BETTER in every area. You might have alot of software and game apps, but how many are useful??? There's plenty of software (useful) for the WM OS, just not in one place. I would rather have more choices to buy from, than just one place any day. Game play on WM is great and getting better everyday....

For Business ppl: Its worth to look at blackberry bold 9700. I do not own this but i used to have original bold. Its more like symbian but better than that. Its fast, quick and for emails/sms..its heaven.
There's no other phone that can beat blackberry's server & its emails support.
I'm little confused if i should get blackberry 9700 or htd hd2 as my next new phone.
