Why are people arguing about what is better? This is a great phone, other phones out there are great too :P
there is no such thing as a perfect phone, and every phone has good points for every bad. lets just conclude here that: This phone is a great phone with some great points, and the omnia2 is equally good at doing other stuff.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2009Tied list
"13. Both have the same camera spec so that is... moreHay I did it just by reading the spec not by using the phone. that is how "kNkH" a.k.a "Anonymous" wanted it, he/she said read the spec. and I did say that was no way to judge a phone.
So "13. Both have the same camera spec so that is a tie."
"15. Video is a tie"
Omnia II: 720x480, 30fps HD2: 640x480, 30fps. Omnia does its video in a 16:9 ratio and the HD2 does its video in a 4:3 ratio. Both have the same 480 hight in the video so it’s a tie.
(And not to forget, you can use a stylus on it)…. That's like say “don’t forget these phones don’t have a physical dial pad like a Nokia N79” (nice to have but it does not need a stylus.)

High Tech, 12 Nov 2009Well just recieved my HD2 today. Phone is okay so far. I li... moreVideo plays in the “picture & Video” tab (not the Audio tab) and if you are not seeing your video file you have to open the “albums” and browse for it. Also if the video is not in a format that is supported by the player you will have to install “coreplayer”.
The first thing you should know because people make this mistake all the time… GPRS and GPS is not the same thing. GPRS is a data plan you have to get from your Cell network provider, just like EDGE. GPS is the global positioning system. If you are really having a problem with your GPRS and you already have a data plan. This is the steps to set it up if it did not auto setup.
1. Go to the settings tab
2. Tap on wireless controls or Comm Manager whichever one you see.
3. Tap the Data connection icon on the left (not the off/on switch on the right). (that will open connection setup)
4. Choose the Country of your mobile operator from the list then choose your mobile operator from the other list.
5. Then tap ok. And follow the onscreen prompts
If you don’t have a data plan with your mobile provider it will not work. And you will have to use wifi that has to be turned on from the comm manager as well.
The phone does not look at the sky or smell the air and tell you the weather :-) it gets the info off a weather database, so you do need the internet whenever it needs to update. If you don’t have wifi or a data plan, hook your phone up to a laptop with internet and setup ActiveSync. It will shear your laptop internet connection.
The first time you use GPS you should run the quitGPS software first. That needs the internet as well to download from the data base.
And you should be outside (not in a building full of solid concrete and steel. GPS works by line of site with the GPS satellites orbiting the earth.
If you’re Clock is set to “my location” and not your country and city you will need the use of a data plan and the GPS for the phone to find your location and then download the info it needs. If you don’t want to do that, Take the clock of “my location” and pick your country and city from the world clock list. And take off the weather animation of the home screen if you have no way of getting the internet on the phone to download the weather data. (Just use a .jpg picture for your background).

"13. Both have the same camera spec so that is a tie."
Pictures taken with the Omnia II is much, much better than on the HD2.
"15. Video is a tie"
Don't think so. Omnia II: 720x480, 30fps HD2: 640x480, 30fps.
Omnia II was better
"8. Omnia II has camera."
Front-camera for video-calls, I guess.
And not to forget, you can use a stylus on it. (Yes, you can use a capacitive stylus on HD2, but they are still as big as a finger...)

Well just recieved my HD2 today. Phone is okay so far. I like the fact it's thin. How do you get video to work. Phone not picking up movie files??? The touch is not as accurate as I thought. It seems it's off a little. Keep getting this message "problem connecting to GPRS". I don't have internet on my phone right now. Is there a way to get rid of the message??? Also, do you have to have internet for weather app to work????
Will give a better review after I play with it awhile.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If you are crying like a kid what do you want people to think?
Newer and better phones come out all the time no one phone will be on top for every. That’s why Adults buy what meets their needs and when their needs change we deal with it, not complain like a kid. So if you can wait 3 months in the hope you can have the best phone, that just shows you don’t need a phone to do anything important right now. And probably never will till you grow up. And even then your job may not require the use of a PDA phone so you could just wait forever just to say I have the best phone ever made. Because it looks like that is all that is important to you.
