hashmi01, 10 Aug 2011I want to know about the GPS of HD2. What does it means i... moreYou answered you question with #2
It has both GPS & A-GPS
You use GPS when you have line of sight with the satellite, but when you are indoors and GPS will not work you can turn on A-GPS if you want to geotag house party pic’s, use foot prints inside, send a friend your location indoors (like in a mall)…. Crap like that.
I never have a real reason to use A-GPS so I always have it off.

LOVING the new Toshiba Thrive :) :) :) I've had some time to play with it awhile, and I MUST SAY it's the BEST out right now.... Cannot go wrong with FULL SIZE ports (HDMI, USB, etc)... The USB port can read up to 1TB drives... The SD Card can read 128GB cards (that's the highest out right now)... According to the SD Card web site it says "the new SD Card slots can read up to 2TB??? Don't know if the Thrive SD Card can read that, as no 2TB card is available.... Alot of my Android apps I have on my HD2, work on the Thrive... When I put in my Google email, it set up the Thrive just like my phone (Apps and Background)... Didn't have to do anything :) :) :) :) The only down side is I have the Tablet that has the SLEEP of death. If you put in sleep mode, after about 2-3 hours in sleep; it will not wake... You have power down and back on :( :( :( Taking it back to Best Buy for exchange today :) :) :) :) All in all very happy with the Thrive... Now I can put all my music on the 128GB SD Card... I Have a 160GB Tablet (32GB + 128GB Card) :) :) :) :)

YOU CANNOT go wrong with the Thrive (the thickness is not BAD at all. Makes it feel solid to ME).... :) :)

I want to know about the GPS of HD2.
What does it means in the specification written above?
"GPS Yes, with A-GPS support; NaviPanel".
      WHAT SHOULD I ASSUME?
Answer 1. yes it have GPS but could run with the assistance of your network provider (web/by paying extra for GPS).
Answer 2. yes it have stand alone GPS receiver which directly receive data from sattelite and display your geographical location which never needs to pay anything, but it also have "assisted GPS" which work through web with assistance of your network provider for which you have to pay as your data plan.

Zoe, 10 Aug 2011Hi everyone, I can't sent SMS on my phone. Could you kin... moreupdate your ROM.
Chances are you are using a ROM older that 1.66
Up date your ROM to 3.14 and that problem is gone. You will even get notifications.
If there is no 3.14 for your version at lest get 1.66 or newer. I think that problem was fixed after that.
ROMs are free to download on the HTC web site. you just have to know what country to pick depending on where your phone was made for because all HD2’s don’t have the same ROM and your S/N will only let your download a ROM that was made you’re your HD2.

hd2..., 08 Aug 2011hi anthony, please help me to install android 2.3 sd versio... moreDownload the ROM form the link given by “Amoah” in the post blow.
Install a program called 7zip on your PC
Use 7zip to decompress the “.7z” file.
Find the folder named “Android” in the decompressed folder
Copy the Android folder and its contents to the root of your SD
From the phone use file explore to lunch CLRCAD (it will look like nothing happened)
              Then lunch HARET

              Notes:
First time android runs it can take 15min or more to finish the boot up
CLRCAD & HARET must be run in that order every time you want to start Android when you are in windows.
Your radio version in windows should be 2.15. for the setup to work
The faster your SD and more free space it has the better Android will work.

Most important…. Don’t ask me for help on using Android because I hardly ever use it. :)

Just purchased an Toshiba Thrive 32GB tablet today (in my state it's no sales tax this weekend. So I saved about $60.00 or so). I must say I like the Thrive so far. Like having full ports on tablet (none of that mini stuff). I think the full SD Card slot can go upto 2TB??? At least that's what the SD Card info site says??? This has the new SD Card standard slot (SDXC).... I think the available size SD Card is 128GB (that's plenty for now)... So will test it out this weekend... It also can use a ext harddrive, mouse, key board, etc... The skies the limit with the full ports............
